Final girls name list - thoughts??

Hello all!

I’m booked in for a C section on Friday and just wanted some thoughts on our final girls name list. Which are your favourites (and worst!) and what kind of image do they conjure up?

DD1’s name is Maggie 😊. Happy for some last minute suggestions if you can think of any with the same kind of vibe.

Cassie (maybe Cassia on BC but DP isn’t so sure)
Rosa
Flora
Sylvie
Alma (DP not so sure on this one, but says he could be persuaded! He says it’s a bit too Coronation St, but I think it’s got a beautiful sound, looks lovely written)

Robyn - best by far, love it. Strong and cool.
Cassie - really pretty, prefer it to Cassia which reminds me of the watch.
Rosa - also nice, Italian sounding. Elegant.
Flora - not keen, bit twee.
Sylvie - OK, again a bit twee. Sylvia might be better.
Alma - actively dislike, sorry! Old lady name.

My favourite is Sylvie by a mile

Robyn and Sylvie are the ones I think go nicest with Maggie x

Sylvie and Flora are my favourites, with Robyn far behind in third place.

Alma is my least favourite from your list.

Haha - Alma is a last minute addition and may be a crazy pregnancy idea

Sylvie and Rosa are beautiful names. Not keen on the others, especially Alma!

The only one I really dislike is Robyn

Robyn - dislike,
Cassie - Cassandra is nice in its entirety, too many wishy washy ie ending names. Sounds like a dog, reminds me of Lassie.
Rosa - gorgeous
Flora - dreadful
Sylvie - strongly dislike, see above re ie ending names
Alma - really bad, sorry.

I think Alma is a lovely name, and one which would grow well with a child and be timeless, and I am saying that although I have only ever met one Alma who I rather disliked ( for a number of reasons, but her name wasn’t one of them)

My friend's daughter recently called her baby Alma...I'm glad she told me via text, to give me time to react. To my ears it sounds so ugly. I have tried to make it 'grow' on me, but I'm failing miserably 😨 The child is very sweet though.

I love all of your other choices though, particularly Sylvie and Robyn 😍

Aw I know a little Alma, wasn't keen when they first announced, but love it now, it really suits her.

Sylvie is by far my favourite. I like Rosa too. My least favourite is Flora, I just can't get past the margarine association.

Not a massive fan of Robyn and your DDs may get called Magpie and Robyn.

Robyn - I like but I do get a 70’s vibe from the Y spelling, I prefer Robin for both males or females - like the bird.
Cassie - I like a lot, I would be tempted to put Cassia on the bc though. Cass is such a cool nn for a teenage girl.
Flora - probably my least favourite, I can’t get past the margarine/spreads easily association.
Sylvie - I love this, weirdly can’t stand Sylvia though.
Alma - I really want to love this name as it has such a lovely sound and meaning, sounds great with Maggie too. I’m not sure I can get past the Corrie association either though. Good luck.

Just realised I forgot Rosa - this is actually my favourite from your list, so lovely!

Rosa and Alma are both lovely- I'm not keen on the others.
