Opinions on the name Woody

Thought I had my heart set on Rory but kind of like the name woody.
Not sure if I'm cool enough for a unique name my girls are izzie and Lilly so not unusual just wondering if it'll go? Or if that even matters

I love it. Edward nn Woody for me. But then I have a son called Will 🤷‍♀️

I would also have Edward and use the nn Woody. But then I prefer longer official names so that the child has an element of choice in their preferred name once older.

I cannot believe you are serious it is an erect penis, but you know that and god knows how much teasing your son will get. Choose something that will not get him bullied

Do you realise that (1) it is possible to be cool without ‘pulling 250,000 people to Brighton beach’, (2) cool is subjective and not everybody has to agree with you and (3) I made no claim to be personally cool. That doesn’t stop me from forming opinions about the coolness of Norman Cook and Zoe Ball, and rightly so. I’ve never won an election personally, but I still make decisions on who to vote for. That’s how it works.

I know a Howard whose nickname is Woody. Only used with Close friends and family, professionally and officially he's Howard.
