Opinions on the name Woody

Thought I had my heart set on Rory but kind of like the name woody.
Not sure if I'm cool enough for a unique name my girls are izzie and Lilly so not unusual just wondering if it'll go? Or if that even matters

Love it. I had a friend named Woodrow (nickname Woody). He's 26 and it's never caused him any issues.

I wouldn't recommend it. Too many unwanted connotations. Plus, to me it sounds more like a nickname than an actual given name.

There's a Woody in my sons reception class. It's cute.

Just horrible. I try not to say stuff like that on baby names board and generally will admit that a name is fine just not my taste/not as nice as x name. But woody is just a horrible name for a baby/little boy/teenager/man.

Brings to mind spike from Buffy saying ‘Randy Giles? Why didn’t you just call me desperate for a shag Giles?’

I've just remembered that Zoe Ball and Norman Cook had a son called Woody too. I wonder if people were as rude to them.

I mean I don’t know anyone called Dick and I’ve never met anyone named Willy. But yeah I would tell a parent considering the names dick and Willy that they’re not that nice and common names for a penis.
