Hi everyone, after a long, tough TTC conceive journey we are finally expecting our little miracle baby girl. We had lots of names on a list built up over about 5 years 😂and have narrowed it down to these:

Ivy
Rosalie

Savannah
Georgia
Chloe
Sophia
Sienna

What is everyone's favourite?

Congratulations! I love Rosalie and Sophia from your list. I also like Chloe.

canyoubelievethat · 23/03/2022 19:34

I love Georgia and Sophia.

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/03/2022 19:36

Ivy - very pretty, but definitely getting more popular. I've come across so many recently (4 babies in the last 18 months)

Rosalie - I'm not a fan. Prefer the simplicity of Rosa

Savannah - Not a fan at all sorry

Georgia - very pretty. I don't know any under the age of 10

Chloe - love it

Sophia - pretty but very popular

Sienna - one of my most disliked girls names

Georgia and Chloe are my favourites

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 23/03/2022 19:37

Chloe is my fav
Sienna my least, so overused

StopFeckingFaffing · 23/03/2022 19:38

Congratulations

I'm not a fan of Ivy (but accept that 1980s Coronation Street is partly to blame for that)

Rosalie is my favourite but they are all nice names. Sophia has been overused for past 15 years or so which may or may not be a consideration depending if you care how popular a name is.

DotDotDotDotDot · 23/03/2022 19:41

Firstly congratulations on your journey, I wish you well.
Rosalie is my favourite from your list, so lovely. I like Rosa/Rose/Rosanna/Rosalind too, well any Rose variation if I’m honest.
I’m not keen on Chloe, Savannah or Georgia, they seem a bit 90’s or early 00’s to me.
Sophia and Sienna are fine but I just know or have come across so many in the past 10 years they just seem overdone and a bit boring to me.

KylieCharlene · 23/03/2022 19:44

I really like Savannah- it's pretty, elegant and suits all ages.
Also like Sophia but I think it's popularity would put me off.

urbanbuddha · 23/03/2022 19:47

Georgia.
It would be Rosa if it was on the list.

Maireas · 23/03/2022 19:49

Not Sienna.
Not Savannah.
Rosalie is very pretty and not commonly used (if that's an issue for you). The others are nice.

BlueFlavour · 23/03/2022 19:51

Rosalie is my favourite.

Petsop · 23/03/2022 20:18

Georgia

delshell · 23/03/2022 20:28

Congratulations!

Ivy - Lovely
Rosalie - Lovely
Savannah - No
Georgia - Ok
Chloe - Ok
Sophia - Lovely but popularity would put me off
Sienna - No

beenaroundtheblox · 23/03/2022 20:29

How do you pronounce Rosalie?

tearinghairout · 23/03/2022 20:36

Sophia is classic and elegant. DD was nearly Savannah and I'm glad, in retrospect, that we chose something a bit more mainstream than naming her after a town. Same goes for Georgia and Sienna.

expectingourmiracle · 23/03/2022 20:42

Thanks everyone. I'm a reception teacher so have found it really hard to pick a name I don't already associate with somebody else! T he popularity of Sophia does bother me a little, however in a school of over 400 I believe we only have 3! But I do know it's more popular in other areas.

@beenaroundtheblox

How do you pronounce Rosalie?
Roh za lee. Kind of like Natalie which I love but think is a bit too 80s/90s

Any except last two - can’t stand any Sophie name as boring overused and reminds me of the word “soppy” at my teens school Sienna is the type of girl that beats you up in the toilets.

ThePennyJustDropped · 23/03/2022 20:47

Rosalie. I also like Natalie that you mention in your update, think it's due a comeback.

DogsAndGin · 23/03/2022 20:49

Congratulations!

Out of ten:

Ivy 6
Rosalie 4
Savannah 9
Georgia 8
Chloe 8
Sophia 7
Sienna 9

Blue4YOU · 23/03/2022 20:52

Not Sienna but I like Rosalie (and Rosalind and Rosanna).
I’ve never liked Chloe (sorry)
Savannah is nice

estoybien · 23/03/2022 21:00

Rosalie is my favourite from your list, followed by Savannah. Least favourite is Ivy as it either reminds me of the plant that I try and stop growing up my house or the intravenous route.

Mountainbear · 23/03/2022 21:02

Congratulations!

Ivy - pretty, but seems to be having a bit of a moment and I think it will date. Prefer Iris.
Rosalie - bit fussy for me. I love the simplicity of Rose, or Rosa.
Savannah - Not sure, feels a bit faddy
Georgia - ok, feels a bit like Felicity to me, nice but slightly horsey
Chloe - pretty, maybe a bit dated - Daphne? Phoebe?
Sophia - pretty, prefer Sophie
Sienna - nice, but same issue as Ivy I think. Sabrina? Serena? Seren?

DemBonesDemBones · 23/03/2022 21:07

My favourite is Georgia. Chloe and Sophia are my least favourite.

Hadtocomment · 23/03/2022 21:23

Ivy and Rosalie my favs. I also love Natalie.
