Thoughts on Paulette?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I actually like Paulette....I have a friend called this....she’s beautiful, elegant, kind and just lovely....maybe that’s why I like it so much

I don't like it either. To me it says 70 year old French lady.

I much prefer Paola (that spelling).

OhLookCriedNed · 15/03/2022 08:28

Reminds me of the episode of Friends with Gary Oldman.
'Why have you got a Picture of Paulette in your Pack'

Don't hate the name though, and Lettie is a cute nickname 😃

OMG I must be getting old if my childhood names are coming in fashion.

These will be next:
Paula
Michelle
Susan
Kerry
Sarah
Brenda
Beverly
Tracy
Sharon

It's adorable. I really like it

PancakeBae · 15/03/2022 08:52

My first thought was Paulette Goddard - so sparky and beautiful, she deserves to be remembered more than she is. Funnily enough, though, her real name was Marion.

DogsAndGin · 15/03/2022 20:59

Surely this is a joke

MalagaNights · 15/03/2022 21:12

No.

But I love Claudette.

Justkeepon · 15/03/2022 21:14

Makes me think of a British Ladette or a game of Russian roulette 🤣 I'm weird though

Loginmystery · 15/03/2022 21:21

Come on, where’s the person who has three Paulettes in her daughter’s class?

WaltzingToWalsingham · 15/03/2022 21:24

I like it! And as you said, a breath of fresh air.

ThePennyJustDropped · 15/03/2022 22:32

I think it's different and perfectly nice.

Prefer Georgette though - I knew one once who abbreviated to Jet which I thought was the coolest name ever
