I know a Paulette, but she has abbreviated to lettie

Know a fab Paulette- but I’m personally not a fan of feminised male names (Paulette/Pauline; Nigella; Erica; Edwina; Henrietta etc)

Sounds like a brand of sanitary products.

I think it's OK, although Paula sounds more refreshing to me.

I like some of the other -ette names like Juliette, Colette, Annette, Georgette, Linette.

What's the point of growing a poor baby for 9 months just to call it Paulette.

Lilette reminds me of Gilette :)

I watched "Grease" several times and remember her face but would never have remembered the name.

To me it is a very 1920s French-chic sort of name.

Thanks for reminding me of Lettie, I actually love it.

I also love medieval Lettice but wouldn't use it for obvious reasons.

80 year old bossy French matron, that's the only Paulette I know

First thing that came to my mind:

Paulette Goddard was a silent film actress so I associate it with old Hollywood glamour. For the person who asked for a namesake, it's whom I think of.

I never saw Grease 2 only Grease. Didn't know the sequel was so commonly watched.

Hahahaa at the video. For some reason I like the song.

Makes me think of Paulette from Legally Blonde too. She's a great character, though, so it wouldn't necessarily be a no from me!

To me it sounds like the make of a campervan, an old clapped out one. I like Claudette and love Lettie though.

@Snowbell99 Interesting, I had never heard of Paulette Goddard before reading this thread. She was indeed very glamorous.
