Daisy because it's a happy name

Fivemoreminutes1 · 22/02/2022 08:15

Emily because it’s timeless, can be shortened and isn’t too popular at the moment

PurBal · 22/02/2022 08:16

Daisy: I just don’t think it works too well as an adult name.
Emily: like it, classic
Elsie: my favourite, my grandmother’s name and coming back into fashion, can be confused with Elsa if that bother you
Lottie: is a nickname for Charlotte

AnnaSW1 · 22/02/2022 08:19

Elsie. I just like it.

mamatoTails · 22/02/2022 08:21

Daisy - always really liked it.

Sausagedogsarethebest · 22/02/2022 08:27

Emily or Elsie, I like them both a lot.

Daisy is cute for a little girl, but not so much on a grown woman.

Lottie - just not a fan. I'd go with Charlotte and use Lottie as the NN.

SallyWD · 22/02/2022 08:28

I love Daisy and Emily. I don't agree that Daisy only works as a child's name. I think it's a cool grown up name. I know a Daisy in her 20s and she really suits her name. Emily is just a lovely classic name. It's not overused at the moment. Lottie to me is short for Charlotte. I wouldn't want it on the birth certificate as a stand alone name. Elsie is OK.

BasiliskFace · 22/02/2022 08:34

Elsie - Love it
Emily - Actually love it more than Elsie but have put it second because it’s more widely used
Daisy - Lovely, and I also think fine for an adult , eg Daisy Ridley
Lottie - I do see this as a nickname for Charlotte, although Elsie was originally short for Elizabeth/ Elspeth and Daisy a nickname for Margaret, so I suppose these things evolve.

wouldHAVEshouldHAVEcouldHAVE · 22/02/2022 08:36

Elsie is my favourite of those. Suits a toddler and an adult.
Lottie is cute.
Emily is ok, bit boring
Daisy I don’t like and think it’s only suitable for a cow name and even then, a cow you don’t like that much.

Amnotamug · 22/02/2022 08:38

Elsie is absolutely lovely
Lottie …not keen
Emily ,boring
Daisy,ok

Wisemensay · 22/02/2022 08:42

Elsie - beautiful name and I know a wonderful one.
Emily - nice and timeless
Daisy - too twee and childish
Lottie- nice nickname but not by itself

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/02/2022 09:23

Daisy. Think it has more character than the ohhers, think it’s pretty and evokes lovely imagery of summer etc

mariotime · 22/02/2022 09:24

Elsie and Lottie are lovely.
The other two are nice enough but a bit boring.

AdaColeman · 22/02/2022 09:33

Daisy, very pretty while they are a child and a lovely quirky name once they’ve grown up, my favourite!
Emily, pretty and classy but not very exciting.
Elsie, reminds me of a Victorian scullery maid.
Lottie, a nice nn for Charlotte.

GreenWhiteViolet · 22/02/2022 09:40

I choose Emily - classic name with a lovely sound.

I do like Lottie very much, but as a nickname for Charlotte. Elsie is all Victorian servant and/or cow to me and I don't see the appeal at all. Old-fashioned in the wrong way. Daisy I'm indifferent to - a bit insubstantial, but there's nothing wrong with it.

Rosieposie101 · 22/02/2022 10:16

Daisy

HoliHormonalTigerlilly · 22/02/2022 10:19

Lottie but with Charlotte or Carlotta on the birth cert.

Because it's pretty and used much less than the others.

HoliHormonalTigerlilly · 22/02/2022 10:20

Emily is so boring.
Daisy is a puppy name.
Elsie is just everywhere.

DogsAndGin · 22/02/2022 10:22

Emily is lovely

Daisy - makes me think of someone silly, clumsy, etc.
Elsie - too try-hard
Lottie - I don’t like nicknames as names. But Charlotte is nice.

BluebellsGreenbells · 22/02/2022 10:22

I think all of them are past their peek I know an awful lot of young girls with these names.

I think you’d regret it.

RandomQuest · 22/02/2022 10:23

Lottie but I’d put Charlotte on the birth certificate.

HettytheHoover · 22/02/2022 10:38

Daisy as I've taught lots of all the other names

NannyR · 22/02/2022 10:44

Lottie, but as a nickname with Charlotte on the certificate.
Daisy is great for a child but I don't think it works well for an adult, don't like Elsie, for me it's definitely still an old ladies name. Emily is nice but nothing special.

Kgutdfn · 22/02/2022 10:45

It's a vote for Elsie from me.

Sockwomble · 22/02/2022 13:10

I like Emily because although popular it is a classic name that won't date.
