Mavis or Rosalie

We have welcomed a baby girl last week and aren’t able to decide her name. We have siblings Olivia (nn Olive), Arthur and George. We can’t seem to decide between Mavis with potential nn Mae or Rosalie nn Rose/Rosie. Which one do you prefer? Family is very split between the two so all feedback very welcome.

Why would you want to call her Mavis?! Makes me think of Mavis the fat fairy from Willo the Wisp..!

I think Rosalind is much nicer than Rosalie and better for an adult, Rosalie sounds a bit little girly to me

What about Mabel instead of Mavis?

Rosalie is a rock song I'm very fond of and she might love her name because of that when she's older. Mavis to me will always =character played by Thelma Barlow in Corrie. Whatever you decide, congratulations and very best wishes to you and your family

Rosalie matches your other children's names better.

When I was a kid there was a learning to type program/game thing called Mavis Beacon so that's all I think of when I see Mavis
