Angelica Joy or Evangeline Joy?

Or Angelica Faith or Evangeline Faith?

Or Angelica Hope or Evangeline Hope?

What's your favourite of each, and what's your overall number one?

(We are practicing Christians so although some of the names might have religious connotations, we like this, although I know it might put some people off.)

Evangeline is lovely . I teach a girl with this name and it really suits her . For second name either Joy or Hope .
Angelica sounds a bit harder to me if that makes sense .

IncompleteSenten · 08/02/2022 09:52

I like Evangeline, not keen on Angelica.

Evangeline Hope flows nicely and is my favourite of all combinations.

mishmased · 08/02/2022 09:56

Evangeline definitely. Love it!

mishmased · 08/02/2022 09:57

Evangeline Joy

ImJustNotMeAnymore · 08/02/2022 09:59

Evangeline Hope

alisoninwonderland · 08/02/2022 10:03

Angelica Joy is really lovely!

Although Evangeline is a nice name too, just a bit long maybe.

I feel like Evangeline Faith would be a bit of a Christian overkill iyswim Blush And Hope while a lovely meaning is not such a nice sound to me. So I would go with either Angelica Joy or Evangeline Joy, perhaps based on which of the likely nn of these names you like better

Appleseesaw · 08/02/2022 10:05

I think all of your options are very pretty. There’s a reasonable chance that Evangeline will be shortened to Evie, which is very popular and isn’t the name you chose. It’s up to you whether this bothers you or not. I think all the middle name options are lovely and all would go well with either first names.

toastofthetown · 08/02/2022 10:05

I prefer Angelica Joy. Evangeline with the virtue middle names is a bit much for my taste, but it might suit your family.

CallMeNutribullet · 08/02/2022 10:09

They both sound a bit Serena Joy to me, sorry. I prefer Evangeline to Angelica but I wouldn't go for Joy or Hope as a middle name, I'd stick to a simple traditional girls name like Rose or Anne

freelions · 08/02/2022 10:11

Angelica Faith

Gosh, that's a tough one.

Angelica Joy I think as ai love the shortening Geli.

sadpapercourtesan · 08/02/2022 12:21

Have you considered that your child won't always be a child, and may not share your faith? In that context, the names you're considering might be a bit of a millstone. I think it's a bit weird and crass to name your child something so obviously agenda-carrying, personally.

thickthighs73 · 08/02/2022 12:27

I think Evangeline is lovely enough on its own

Synchrony · 08/02/2022 12:29

Angelica Joy! It sounds so sunny!

mishmased · 08/02/2022 12:30

Actually I like the middle name rose suggested by @CallMeNutribullet. Could be a reference to the 'Rise of Sharon' or Lily (Lily if the valley). Yes I know there is a model by the name Evangeline Lily.

muddyford · 08/02/2022 12:55

Angelica Faith. Others are too heavy on J sounds or almost tongue-twisters.

TatianaBis · 08/02/2022 12:58

Angelica. Evangeline sounds like vagina to me.

Onionpatch · 08/02/2022 13:09

I prefer Faith with those names.
I like them both equally but its worth considering that they might be shortened by friends at school or university or annoying in laws (my experience)

So do you prefer Anj, angie /angel
Or Eve, Eva, Eves, Evie

CoalCraft · 08/02/2022 13:48

I'm afraid my opinion of the name Angelica has forever been tainted by the Rugrats! Though it does have a lovely sound to it.

I prefer Evangeline Faith from your list.

CoastalWave · 08/02/2022 13:50

Both sound like Angelina Jolie to me!

irishfarmer · 08/02/2022 14:44

@CoalCraft that is exactly what I was going to say!

I do like Angela though, my primary school was St Angela

DramaAlpaca · 08/02/2022 14:46

Evangeline Joy, I think.

TenThousandSpoons · 08/02/2022 14:49

Angelica Joy
