Urgent Indian English baby boy name

I'm due to go into labour any day now and have my induction booked, however my DH and I still cannot agree a name.

We are expecting a baby boy.

My husband is Indian (Hindu) and I am white/English. We are wanting an Indian boys name that works in the UK - something easy to spell/pronounce, but I just don't like any of the names!

The only one I like is Rohan, however it seems to be the only one DH doesn't like...

We both sort of like Arian, but we already have a daughter called Ariya and its too similar.... Please help!

If you like Rohan how about Rohit?

My friend has a Hari.

What about Sameer / Samir? Friends of ours in similar situation called their little boy Krish, they didn’t want Krishna.

Kailan, Hari, Rishi.

Thanks for all thr suggestions :) I do like Hari, but my DH isn't so keen (we really cannot agree on any boy names!). I did previously like Rishi, but whenever I see/hear the name I think 'Dishi Rishi' which has ruined it for me.... Confused

Vicram?
Krishnan?
Samesh?

I do also like Hari.

As well as easy to spell/pronounce you could also go for a name that is well known, the name of a celebrity maybe?

Where are your husband's family from and could you use it as a name?

INeedtobealone · 30/01/2022 07:14

I know a couple with a Krishan.

pumpkinpie01 · 30/01/2022 07:17

I know an Aris

Allpenguinsarepingus · 30/01/2022 07:21

Rohan is great. I also like Ravi and Kiran.

Justleaveitblankthen · 30/01/2022 07:22

A surprisingly large number of my Indian colleagues have the first name 'Adam'.

Jaffajiffy · 30/01/2022 07:23

What about Aidan? It may be spelled en, not sure, but DH’s white cousin chose that with her Indian husband.

BearPear · 30/01/2022 07:23

I love the name Kiran.

Iamsodonewith2020 · 30/01/2022 07:23

Kamran

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 30/01/2022 07:24

Kiitos · 30/01/2022 07:25

GiantSpider · 30/01/2022 07:26

Jaideep (nickname Jai)

beardeddragon174 · 30/01/2022 07:26

My friend has a Jai (pronounced Jay) and Kirpal (Kip for short). They are gorgeous kids.

Stormwhale · 30/01/2022 07:27

Vikesh? There was a little boy with that name at my primary school and we had no trouble saying or spelling his name.

Whatthefrigisthis · 30/01/2022 08:03

@BearPear

I love the name Kiran.
Me too 💙
MsMarple · 30/01/2022 08:27

Rayan - maybe coincidence, but I know a few boys with this name and they are all lovely!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 30/01/2022 08:28

Eashan. Lovely, easy to pronounce

Classicblunder · 30/01/2022 08:32

Ravi
Raj or Rajan
Jayesh or Jay
Ashok
Ashwin

ViceLikeBlip · 30/01/2022 08:34

I think if you like Rishi then just go for it (it's common enough that most people won't automatically associate it with Rishi Sunak)

Or what about Rishabh? Or Nishi, Krishnan (or just Krish), Ritesh?
