A sister for Gaia

Any suggestions for a name for a little girl who has a big sister called Gaia?

I like Elowen, Juno, Eartha, Freya, Arietta. DP doesn't like any of them!

How about
Callista- constellation
Seren - star
Stella/Estelle - star

LovelyBranches · 24/01/2022 22:45

If Gaia is Earth then Theia is the moon or maybe another moon name like Luna or Suki

Love all of these! DSis has a child with one of these names but I'll put the other two on the list. Thank you!

Gaia was the goddess of the earth. Selene was goddess of the moon.
Selene is lovely but DNiece is called Seren and they're close in sound and meaning (Seren is star) so I think I'll have to give that one a miss, but thank you

Noelle

Juno works really well imo, as possibly would similar Clio? (both mythological themed and uncommon like lovely Gaia). Other similar style suggestions that are similarly fairly underused and have "natural" or mythological style links like Gaia:

Selene/Selena
Thalia
Cassia
Celia
Sylvie/Sylvia
Lara/Larissa
Viola
May
Bryony
Jessamine
Artemis
Athena
Ianthe
Xanthe

Io or Callisto? They are both moons of Jupiter and are from Greek mythology.

I knew an Io at uni.

Rodion · 24/01/2022 23:20

My first thought was Hera or Noa.

PaddleBoardingMomma · 24/01/2022 23:38

Cassiopeia
Celeste
Aurora
Estelle
Serenity
Indigo
Eden
Amethyst
Ostara
Aurelia
Iris

??? I'm sure there are more, I love these kinds of names

Or you could look at the muses:

Clio (or Kleio) was the muse of history.

Thalia was the muse of comedy.
