Not really, loads of people call their pets Luna. i seem to hear about a new one everyday.

I currently know three baby/toddler Lunas, a cat, and a dog! It seems very popular.

No it still makes me think of a moon or a loony.

Definitely a pet's name, I used to volunteer for a cat charity and it ranked in the top 5 most popular cat names for sure...

It sounds like a Harry Potter fan.

I just think of Luna Lovegood (or something) from Harry Potter. However, if you like the name fresh or not, you go with that. The only thing that would put me off is if it was too popular.

Hard for me to say because I’ve never really been keen on it. I only know two child Lunas though. Which sounds a lot but as I work with children I’ve heard lots of names.

Apparently it’s popularity is increasing year on year still so you definitely couldn’t say it sounded very 10 years a go etc.
