Really like your choices - Hazel is our top pick for DC2 in May if they turn out to be a girl.

Not super keen on Willa (can’t get past Willy - gutter mind, sorry), Daphne (my mum’s best friend so can’t see anyone other than a 60 year old woman) or Honor (idk why but sounds a bit severe to me?) but love Iris (DH vetoed ), Margot, Clara, Mabel and Otillie, in that order I think. But Hazel is my favourite

I really dislike Hazel, it’s just so ugly and 80s. I imagine a bad perm and blue eyeshadow. Don’t like Willa either, it feels like half a name, wet.

Love Hazel and Esme. Margot is awfully frumpy and looks like Maggot. Iris is part of the eye, so definite no to those.

Willa is awful. I only see it on these boards and it’s popular here. No idea why.

Iris is the name of a song by Split Enz so I would choose that.

Honor would be my choice! Also like Margot, Hazel, Willa, Esme.

I like them all sort from Willa. Esme is nice but possibly a little overused. The rest are lovely though.

Ottilie - I think if I met anyone with this name, I would naturally, quite early in the conversation, start asking them about their French roots. I think that would get tiresome if I didn't have any. (which, of course, you might)

Daphne - not keen, but just personal taste, no reason
Esme - don't really like this - but again, no logical reason
Willa - no. Just no.
Clara - Seems to be coming popular on these threads, but not to my taste.
Honor - I'm not keen on any of those names that are about characteristics (Honour, Fairth, Charity, Hope, etc).

Iris - okayish
Mabel - not keen myself, but again, no reason

We have similar tastes as we have an Esme but DH wanted Honor!
