Just interested in what people think. I'm not overly bothered by popularity so no need to point that kind of thing out.

Ottilie
Margot
Hazel
Daphne
Esme
Willa
Clara
Honor
Iris
Mabel

Like Honor best. Clara pretty also.

PizzasPlease · 27/12/2021 18:46

I only like Clara.

StrongerOrWeaker · 27/12/2021 18:55

I like ottilie, hazel and Willa.

Nosnowthisyear · 27/12/2021 18:57

Your names are not to my taste but Esme is best.

MoominMeggy · 27/12/2021 19:10

Ottilie - not keen, harsh sounding and kind of ugly
Margot - bit horsey
Hazel - quite like it, though prefer Fern, Rowan or Sylvia for nature names
Daphne - love it, also love Phoebe and Ariadne
Esme - ok, but possible pronunciation issues
Willa - nope, like Willow though
Clara - dull, uptight, fussy
Honor - not keen on virtue names, particularly this one - unpleasant connotations
Iris - love
Mabel - weak sounding- prefer the Welsh version, Mabli

foxgoosefinch · 27/12/2021 19:14

Lovely, classic and elegant:
Ottilie
Margot
Clara

Okay, but lots of them about at the moment and they're not names I particularly like:
Iris
Mabel
Esme

Awful - too old, make me think of elderly ladies and bad perms as a pp said:
Hazel
Daphne
Willa
Honor

FindingMeno · 27/12/2021 19:17

Margot is gorgeous

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/12/2021 19:19

Ottilie - It's pretty and a name I think I would of liked to have been called. Ottie is a cute NN as is Tilly, though people would assume she's called Matilda

Margot - my 3 year olds best friend is called Margaux, as is every doll and soft toy in the house haha so it is starting to grow on me

Hazel - I like it, though struggle to picture it on a baby due to never having met one.

Daphne - I'm not a fan at all

Esme - it's ok, nice enough but a bit overused in my area so feels a bit meh

Willa - I like it alot

Clara - really love this

Honor - not a fan

Iris - beautiful name, if only it didn't clash with my surname

Mabel - love it

Synchrony · 27/12/2021 19:52

Ottilie - not keen. Only hear it on MN.
Margot - ok
Hazel - LOVE
Daphne - LOVE
Esme - ok but only if Ezmee not Esmay pronunciation
Willa - dislike. Find it insipid.
Clara - ok if pronounced Cl-are-ah not Claire-ah.
Honor - nice
Iris - ok
Mabel - not keen, seems to be becoming more common

finallychangedmyusername · 27/12/2021 19:58

From your list I like Esme, Mabel and Clara. Iris and Hazel are ok.

toastofthetown · 27/12/2021 20:49

Ottilie - very trendy, and it's a bit twee for my liking
Margot - fine, trendy again though
Hazel - bland but inoffensive
Daphne - seems very popular online, but I don't massively see the appeal
Esme - I don't mind the Ez-me pronunciation, I don't like Ez-may
Willa - bland but inoffensive
Clara - Clara is lovely
Honor - not a fan
Iris - bland but inoffensive
Mabel - quite sweet

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/12/2021 21:49

Love Honor and Iris - grown up and elegant

Margot is likeable and fun

Clara is nice, if slightly schoolgirlish

Ottilie, and Daphne are fussy, Esme and Hazel clunky, Willa and Mabel twee

Margo34 · 27/12/2021 21:57

Ottilie, Margot or Mabel.

Or Margo or Martha.

MerryMarigold · 27/12/2021 21:59

In order of preference (most like to least like)

Daphne - love this, little bit vintage (because if Scooby Doo) but classic and beautiful sound
Margot - I like this. Classy and unusual
Hazel - Pretty and unusual
Clara - classic but a bit boring
Iris - bit too old lady chic
Honor - Bit too much like calling her 'Virgin'
Mabel - old lady
Esme - overdone entirely
Ottilie- only heard on here and find pretentious
Willa - some Barbie fairy and I've never heard of another so will always be a Barbie name for me.

HeyMoana · 27/12/2021 22:01

I like Mabel and Iris.

Bushkin · 27/12/2021 22:02

Ottilie - love
Margot - love
Hazel- like
Daphne - no for me
Esme - like but popular
Willa - like but too open to teasing
Clara - love
Honor - love
Iris - love
Mabel - like

Great list @everly lots of these were on my list for DCs

Rachellow · 27/12/2021 23:06

Think we’ve got similar taste
Ottilie-not sure how to pronounce
Margot- never met one but so pretty
Hazel- imagine quite a sensible wee girl or unfortunately with cancer (fault in our stars)
Daphne- pretty but too entwined with a pony doo with me
Esme- really gorgeous and sophisticated
Willa- not quite for me but a cool name
Clara- gorgeous and don’t know many
Honor- similar vibes to Hazel of a sensible girl in glasses reading a book
Iris- my favourite! really pretty and cool girl vibes
Mabel- sweet for a child then works for an adult too

DramaAlpaca · 27/12/2021 23:08

Love: Hazel, Daphne, Iris

Like: Clara, Honor

Not fussed: Esme, Ottilie, Mabel

Can't stand: Margot, Willa

Mumofgirls2017 · 27/12/2021 23:15

Ottilie- blah, trendy will date
Margot- getting popular; sure nice name not to my taste
Hazel- fine
Daphne- love
Esme- ok
Willa- like, something I can’t get on board with though
Clara- love, classic, pretty, elegant and timeless
Honor- less keen
Iris- love this and meaning
Mabel- like a lot

LozMarieFielder · 27/12/2021 23:31

Ottilie - really pretty but makes me think of otters
Margot - cool and classy
Hazel - sometimes like it, sometimes don’t (certainly fits my style of names though)
Daphne - love love love!
Esme - lovely
Willa - much prefer Willow
Clara - beautiful name
Honour - meh, doesn’t sound like a name to me
Iris - gorgeous
Mabel - my favourite name of all time

Overall your list is really nice and very much my taste

Wickywoo1984 · 27/12/2021 23:38

Honor and Margot are my favourites (I'm assuming like Margot Robbie?).

Viviennemary · 27/12/2021 23:46

Hazel and Iris are both very nice. Dont like any of the others very much. Willa and Ottilie are both especially dire.

everly · 27/12/2021 23:48

@Bushkin do you mind sharing any other names on your list?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 28/12/2021 00:53

I'm not bothered by popularity as such either OP, but I'm less keen on trendiness, such as the current vintage/retro name trend which most of your choices unfortunately fit - as I would worry they may date more (if mostly only very elderly or very young women have the name). Despite that, I do like the sound of:

Iris - as it's both classical (Shakespearean/Greek Mythology) as much as retro/floral
Clara - such an elegant but pretty sound imo
Esme - ditto, especially the Ez-May pronunciation
Honor - very classy

I don't hate Hazel or Willa either, but Margot, Ottilie, Mabel and Daphne are really not my cup of tea, sorry.

Ceramide · 28/12/2021 01:00

I like Willa, Cara, Honor.
