My gran was Ev-Lyn.
I prefer Eve-Lyn though. It was on my list of names for my daughter but I knew it would cause issues if I pronounced it differently from my gran's name.

Eev-lyn would be my default.

Ev-lin seems to be the default pronunciation in Ireland.

Never heard anyone say EVE-lin, anywhere.

Ev-Lin in my part of Scotland too.

I teach in a girls school and teach girls who pronounce it each of these 3 ways so choose the one you prefer .

I didn’t know his wife was also Evelyn, how interesting!

Ever-Lyn and Ev-a-lyn sound the same in my accent (I have been saying the over and over again to try to work out the difference!) and that is how I pronounce the name initially. Although obviously if someone said "it's Eve-lyn" I would pronounce it that way.
