It's a boys name. What about Romi?

I know 2 Remi's in their 30's. Both women. I didn't know it was a male name.

It's not an uncommon name in France for a boy

I know two people called Remi, both lovely and both men.

The only Remy I know is Remy Labeau from X-men, a male character.

Boys name OP

It’s a boys name, usually spelt Remy I think. French?

It’s fairly nothing-y. I think Romilly or Rosalie is an improvement.

Remi is an awful name. Don't do it.

I don't like Remi for a girl as to me it always seems like a boy's name. Also, when I was a kid 'rem/remi' used to be an insult meaning stupid for some reason that I either have forgotten or never understood in the first place!

How about Romy?

Or, with Amelie and Louie, Zélie and Genevieve are perfect. Zélie is a beautiful underused French saint name which I adore and think sounds perfect with your children's names.

Remi is a boys name. It was also an insult - short for remedial :( when I was at school.

I know two female Remi’s and they are both gorgoeus.

My 1st thoughts:

• Remy Martin cognac (I don't even drink the cognac!)
• The anaesthetic
• Clearly a boys name

Its not horrid. If you like it, use it, but give her a middle name that gives options incase she doesn't like your 1st name choice.

The only association I make with Remy is the Dr character in the TV series House... or at least I think that's what she was called. I don't think it's awful, or exclusively a boy's name.

Probably a shortening of ‘remedial’? I’ve never heard it as an insult though so wouldn’t make that connection if someone told me their little girl was called Remi. I do think of it as a boy’s name despite knowing it’s used for girls.

I know a Remi. She is a lovely little girl. It suits her.

Remy Martin is my go to thought. But I don’t dislike it.
