Names as beautiful as Lucy

Ever since I was a little girl I have loved the name Lucy. It's not too long, has a bright youthful feel and is a classic. I've known for a while that when I became pregnant I wouldn't be able to use it because DH has a DD named Lucy, so the name is out of the question.

Can you recommend me some girls names that are just as beautiful?

I'm not keen on Elizabeth, Anna or Katherine as have been suggested to me by my mum.

I think Alice has a rather similar feel to Lucy.

I know just what you mean about loving a name and thinking it so pretty OP. For me it is Meg (short for Margaret). I just think it's gorgeous.

Clara and Sylvie seems similar — both clear-eyed, rosy-cheeked names! Maybe Rose too?

Havent read the whole thread but fuck it this is your baby! If you met him and already had a Lucy would you not be with him? lol. Call her Lucy if you want or the Italian version (Lu-ch-ia) which is nice too.

Im a mum to a Lucy - but if I ever had another girl she would be named Aurora.

That’s a really horrible take. It’s her DH’s baby too, and he already has a Lucy. The new baby will be Lucy’s sister. They can’t both be called Lucy.

OP, I also love the name Lucy. Other names I like are Alice, Lara, Lily, Daisy, Ruby, Rosie. All of those will go nicely with Lucy

Yeah Lucy is definitely out of the running in this case, OP's DH can't use the same name again.

I had a school friend whose dad did this (different name)- it was awful.

I have a friend with a brother and step brother with the same name in a blended family. It's unfortunate but can't be helped as they were both born before the couple got together.

No one on earth would give their unborn (and as yet unconceived) child the same name as one of their step children. Ha!
