Middle name for Lisamarie

Last name sounds like Layhee
Some names I like but can't use are Finnley, Giselle, Jasmin, Bonnie, Dorothy, and Adina, so I guess my name style is already established names that aren't that common or common anymore.
Thanks!

Are you happy if she ends up being known as Lisa? V likely and beyond your control! Lisamairie is quite a mouthful.

It’s also possible that —the tiny number of people who don’t think Presley— won’t know how to pronounce it - it could easily be Lisam-airie, Li-SAM-aree

honeygriff · 18/09/2021 07:07

Lisa Marie May
Lisa Marie Rae

Mouthfulofquiz · 18/09/2021 07:18

Lisamarie Julia Layhee ?

Monkeytapper · 18/09/2021 07:26

How about Marilyse as a first name ……(lady off married at first sight)…combines Lisa and Marie….sort of.

DeadButDelicious · 18/09/2021 08:31

The first name that popped into my head was Daphne.

Lisamarie Daphne Layhee.

FizzyDibdab · 18/09/2021 08:44

X first name LisaMarie as a middle name Layhee

This combination will give you more options as you can still honour the relative but also give your baby a first name of your choice.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 18/09/2021 09:32

I'd go for a very timeless middle name. Something like Catherine, Elizabeth, Isabel(la)?) that can be diminutised in lots of different ways. Lisamarie is a very late 60s early 70s type of name and doesn't entirely work in the 21st Century.

Thanks for explaining the meaning of honour names OP. I think it's quite a normal tradition now I come to think about it, but maybe for a middle name rather than first?!

EdgeOfACoin · 18/09/2021 09:41

As if baby Lisamarie's contemporaries will have heard of Lisa Marie Presley. Honestly. It will be a long time before they even learn about Elvis Presley. And OP's friends and family will know that the name is honouring a much-loved relative, so I doubt they will be saying 'Presley!' every two minutes.

As for middle names...

Lisamarie Pearl Layhee
Lisamarie Blanche Layhee
Lisamarie Charlotte Layhee
Lisamarie Eleanor Layhee

nellly · 18/09/2021 11:37

Yes I think short one syllable middle name

Lisamarie Joy
Lisamarie Claire
Lisamarie Wren
Lisamarie Ann

WoozySnoozy · 18/09/2021 12:19

This is one of the very few names that do not go with Rose as a middle name

peaceinourtime · 18/09/2021 14:08

Elvis as that's what people will think of anyway.

crumblebug · 18/09/2021 14:13

Not sure why people are being so nasty.

Lisamarie Verity
Lisamarie Calista
Lisamarie Camilla
Lisamarie Winnie (similar to Bonnie)

I think Lisamarie Calista is my favourite from those, with nn Callie!

megletthesecond · 18/09/2021 14:17

If this is really the 4th website you've asked and been told she doesn't need a middle name then maybe use that advice. She has to live with the name.

Greenmarmalade · 19/09/2021 08:03

I think some posters are overthinking this. Of all your friends/acquaintances/colleagues, how many of their middle names do you know?

OP- choose a name you love or that’s significant to you (as you have) and go with it. Ignore any negative pushback. My parents disliked the unusual names I chose for my children, although they covered it fairly well, but there’s been no problem with any of them. I’m sure if I’d asked on here, some would have been ripped to shreds.

Synchrony · 19/09/2021 14:02

My first thought was Delilah because I think it has a nice flow. I think other names with the stress on the second syllable are also nice with Lisamarie, such as Victoria, Jemima, Belinda, Antonia etc.

CaptainCabinets · 19/09/2021 15:17

Lisamarie is very dated. Does it have to be one name or could you not split it into the two perfectly fine names it’s meant to be if you’re dead set on having a middle name to use? I can’t think of anything that doesn’t sound clumsy and clunky with Lisamarie.

LifeLemons · 20/09/2021 11:33

@thesearesexpeople Lisamarie Parsley and Marie Rose sauce had me howling. Some of these comments are a stunner

Lisamarie Mae
Lisamarie Martha
Lisamarie Tallulah
Lisamarie Bella
Or are there any other family members you would want to honour and use their first names or middle names as a middle name?

midsomermurderess · 20/09/2021 16:11

Ruth.

SparkyBlue · 20/09/2021 16:18

OP I know a couple of older Lisa Marie's and all lovely people so it's a name I associate with nice people 😀😀😀. Ignore people saying it's dated i also know two primary aged Lisa's . I really don't understand how a name can date. It's such a weird attitude to have.
I think something classic like Elizabeth or Alice go well with it.

KittenKong · 20/09/2021 16:26

@CrystalMaisie

Third Presley
That’s what my brain was saying...
Pollythecat15 · 20/09/2021 16:51

I love the name. I think it's perfect.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 20/09/2021 17:06

I like Isobel or Claire.

dogaibu · 20/09/2021 17:10

God people are so rude, there's just no need.

I like a short flower or gem name for you OP so

Lisamarie Violet
Lisamarie Daisy
Lisamarie Rose
Lisamarie Ruby
Lisamarie Jade

Enjoy your new daughter 😃

Palavah · 20/09/2021 17:16

I also think you need a one-syllable middle name.

Are you anticipating that the first and middle names will be used interchangeably or one more than the other? In my family we'd have the middle name as an honour names.

Claire
Joan
Grace
Anne

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 20/09/2021 17:27

Francesca and Valentina are both awesome with Lisamarie.
