Middle name for Lisamarie

AnneBoleyn6 · 17/09/2021 18:15

Last name sounds like Layhee
Some names I like but can't use are Finnley, Giselle, Jasmin, Bonnie, Dorothy, and Adina, so I guess my name style is already established names that aren't that common or common anymore.
Thanks!

Is the surname Leahey?
Lisamarie L... anything isn't good.

And I agree with PPs. Lisa Marie is much better.

AnneBoleyn6 · 17/09/2021 19:07

@JaninaDuszejko no, there's no one else because the person being honoured just recently passed away. no, we aren't trying to be yooneek. yes, I know it's vowel heavy, but I don't really care, it sounds nice and works in the 4 languages that are spoken at home.
Yeah, I also don't know why everyone is saying to not give her a middle name, I've said in a post near the top already that she HAS to have a middle name. plus I just asked for middle name suggestions, not name change suggestions anyway
I should also add that I didn't even know who Lisamarie Presley was until I googled her after seeing these replies, so no, she's not named after Lisamarie Presley...
(P.S my minor saltiness is not directed to you, it's just this is the 4th name forum website I've asked and the only answers I get are that it doesn't need a middle name or just to make Marie the middle name

@TheWayTheLightFalls

Could I be the first of many posters to suggest first name Lisa, second name Marie?
I came on to suggest that.
Chunkymenrock · 17/09/2021 19:09

Everyone's middle name is Rose. Don't do it. I think you need a one syllable middle name though, so how about Fern, Jean, Page, Hope, Faith?

AnneBoleyn6 · 17/09/2021 19:10

@Peanutsandchilli haha, no I didn't, but we wouldn't actually use Lisamarie Rose because my sisters wife's name is Rose :)

I don't think a short name works in the middle spot. Any short name is going to look like a name tacked on for no reason. I would go for a long one.

Lisamarie Francesca
Lisamarie Gabriella
Lisamarie Nicolette
Lisamarie Alexandra
Lisamarie Anastasia
Lisamarie Renee
Lisamarie Alannah
Lisamarie Rosina
Lisamarie Tallulah
Lisamarie Andrea

You hadn’t heard of Lisamarie Presley? Get ready to hear a lot about her!

Dmsandfloatydress · 17/09/2021 19:16

Fifth for Presley. Seriously, the kid is going to have to live with this name so I would really try and take on board what people are saying. Lisa Marie Lahley. Hopefully your daughter wont mind having the same name as a significant number of women in their forties and fifties.

Keiki · 17/09/2021 19:19

Actually I think Lisamarie Grace sounds lovely.

It's like a knee-jerk default name for most people when asked to think of a middle name. OP has wisely said she won't use it.
TooBigForMyBoots · 17/09/2021 19:24

Helen

I think you need something with a hard sound to balance your soft first name and surname, such as:

Lisamarie Kate
Lisamarie Gail
Lisamarie Margaret

Jade
Grace

I think one syllable works best.

But even with an honour name I'd personally split Lisa and Marie.
