Any suggestions?
We like
Fox
Wolf though won't use these as they're a bit too "out there" for us

Also
Forrest
River
Rowan

Considered Rio as a River alternative but there's that footballer...

Any ideas? Thank you

I love Heath and Wolf.

Also like Ash, Ivo and Indigo.

LouLion · 15/09/2021 22:28

I love Rowan and quite like River. I like Forrest but would be wary due to the inevitable jokes... Not keen on Rio. Heath is a good suggestion. Orion?

Quite like Fox and Wolf. Probably wouldn't use myself either but not too out there anymore

Forrest- love
River - like
Rowan - my baby girls name - unfortunately gets shortened to Row. A nice name but very trendy (shooting up top 100 for first time in history) and also really similar to the fastest rising boy name RoMan with M so he prepared for it to continually get misheard as Roman! Wouldn't have been an issue 5-10 years ago but Roman has completely boomed last few years if you look at the charts. Looks set to be top 30 soon. There's a lot of Rory and Ronnie's about too. Does all blend in a bit and I wouldn't have chosen the name of I'd realised.

How about -

Radley (red forest)
Jasper (gem stone)
Bay
Oakley
Bodhi
Heath

Theoldwoman · 16/09/2021 09:54

Brook
Ayrton
Storm
Raine
Sonny
Leif
Sky
Jayde
Sage

Pretty much the only one mentioned so far that won't mark out your DC as a certain type of child to every teacher they will meet is Rowan.

Otherwise names that everyone has forgotten are nature names suggested by pp: peter, craig, glen etc

Marcipex · 16/09/2021 13:22

@bloominglovelyorange my Rowan is shortened to Roo.

Loveeeee Bear, Wolf, Tiger...and all animals really! I don't love this but it certainly had the cool factor, when my DS was a baby he went to swimming lessons with a Spider...Spider was so cool!

annacondom · 16/09/2021 21:31

Leviathan? Really? Might as well call him Whale!
