Hello,

Amber is the only girl name that my partner & I both agree on, but it’s not at the top of either of our lists, so looking for some feedback :)

Really lovely name. I love it! Familiar but underused. Retro feel but only a bit. Really nice. Use it!

Thank you so much for all the replies!

I have done a bit of research & it does look like it was very popular in America in the 80s/90s, which did initially put me off a little! However, all the positive comments, I think, has won me back! It’s still the clear favourite I think!

Amber Alert.

Ember is better.

I understand the ‘Amber Alert’ connotations, but surely that’s not forever and soon will be a distant memory? Well, we hope!

I don't like it but I don't know why. My teacher friend says any Amber she's ever taught has been lovely if that helps Grin

It was quite popular a few years ago I know quite a few in my children’s friendship groups, so not as dated as people on here make out.

This was my favourite girls' name as a teenager, along with Leah.

Amber Alerts are for missing children. They'll be around for a while
