Haha Talitha made up American name! That's hilarious. It's a beautiful name, but I can't decide whether it would bother me (in your shoes) that it means "little girl", as a baby won't be a little girl forever.

GuckGuckDoose · 19/08/2021 13:56

Emmeline is lovely! And goes really nicely with your other two daughters’ names.

Carycy · 19/08/2021 13:56

It’s not Very rare where I am from. Smacks of national trust goers trying to be different.

Rosesviolets · 19/08/2021 14:52

Personally I'd prefer Tabitha. Love the nn Tabby, too.

AllTheSingleLadiess · 19/08/2021 15:59

I'd avoid Harriet because your dd has an H name already but his choices are a similar vibe to your older kids imo.

Cindie943811A · 19/08/2021 18:06

What about Natalia?
I prefer Georgia to Georgina and it’s a similar length to your other girls’ names

DaisyWaldron · 19/08/2021 19:51

I was at school with a Talitha. She pronounced it TaLEEtha. I always liked the name.

Aimee1987 · 19/08/2021 19:57

I know a talitha, I think it's a nice name but she has had a lifetime of people getting her name wrong and it really pisses her off.

meadowbleu · 19/08/2021 20:15

Naomi is my absolute favourite from this thread and if not, then Florence. Both go well with her sisters' names too.

Not keen on Talitha myself but even less so to follow Hannah and Louisa.

WildCherryBlossom · 20/08/2021 08:46

I love Talitha!

The first thought it brings to mind is that gorgeous picture of Talitha Getty on the rooftops of Marrakesh posted by PP.

Naomi is a lovely option too (but there are a couple of pronunciation options) or how about Tamara? Similar to Talitha but more straightforward to spell and pronounce.

WhoppingBigBackside · 20/08/2021 10:10

Biblical name. I'd say it as Tal-eet-a, but she'd probably get Tabitha with an L or Tal-eeth-a.

Talitha Getty is a famous one.

BeauxRingarde · 20/08/2021 10:15

Emmeline is the best, but Natalia rather than Natalie is good too.

As soon as I saw Talitha I knew the origin, anyone who went to a strict catholic school should know it!

TatianaBis · 20/08/2021 10:17

Yep love it. Much prefer it to Tabitha. I know an absolutely stunning Talitha.

Some posters here are very conservative and have knee jerk reactions against things they’re not familiar with.

MumofSpud · 20/08/2021 10:21

It doesn't go with your other DDs' names though.

FreeBritnee · 20/08/2021 10:23

Nope. Not nice.

WhoppingBigBackside · 20/08/2021 12:57

it's much nicer than Tabitha. Tabitha is mainstream enough to not be a cat any more.

Ruth is nice and can be Ruthie when she's little.

namechangeuniq · 20/08/2021 17:28

I quite like it. But also, how about Tallulah?

seasidehouse · 20/08/2021 17:35

I know a Talitha , aged around 35-40 it's a lovely name , much nicer than Tabitha

TheWayTheLightFalls · 20/08/2021 17:36

“Lispy” is a good descriptor imo. Sorry OP.

Disfordarkchocolate · 20/08/2021 17:38

I like it but that Bible story put me off.
