I have just ‘discovered’ Cara!
Does Cara Elizabeth sound odd with the double vowels??

Alice Elizabeth sounds weird too, similar clashing because of partial repetition.

I think Alicia Elizabeth sounds much better

I absolutely love Olive and if we have a girl that will be her name. It's unusual without being made up

Cara Elizabeth is nice. It doesn’t have the greatest flow to me (but then how a name flows is quite personal - I liked Olive Elizabeth when a lot of people didn’t). I also think that that with a middle name that is meaningful, the flow of the name matters a bit less. And middle names aren’t used that often so how it works with your surname is more important.

I personally would not go for Cara …not a real name. Olive is pretty,modern and your generation would not associate the name with ‘on the buses’ ..I am late 50 and cannot remember the show !! Just go with the name that you like .

Elizabeth Olive sits better when saying it ... and Alice is a lovely name.

I’m not too keen on Olive Elizabeth. Elizabeth Olive has a better ring to it IMO.

Cara is lovely - simple, international, lovely meaning.

Olive - not keen at all and don't think it could be further from timeless - it was popular for a fairly short period early last century and is having a real moment right now, along with the utterly bemusing Ottilie (bemusing not in the name itself, but in how a German name with a butchered pronunciation has become so popular in the UK).

Cara means dear, darling etc in Italian.

Cara mia = my darling.

@TatianaBis that’s why I love it! I have Italian heritage and ‘darling’ is what we have always called our first dd. Cheesy maybe but I am definitely a bit emotionally invested in it now!

We don’t know the sex btw! Having same issue with boys names. My lists seem to be getting longer..

to all those who worry about a name sounding "made up" newsflash: all names are made up.🤷‍♀️
in fact all words are made up. 🤣

To me, so no offense to all who love it, Olive just sounds frumpy and plain.

Love Cara Elizabeth though.
