Thoughts??

Due in 3 days and still stuck for names!
Also like Alice but I feel like that is rising in popularity currently?
Elizabeth is after DPs grandmother

Such a mixed bag! Gaa I’m so confused.
You are very right though @eekbumbler

@BiBabbles funnily enough I added Lois to my list last night!

I am repeating ‘Lois Elizabeth’ to myself whilst making tea

Really love Olive. Simple with a bit of an edge. Think Olive Eliza sounds better though. Good luck-naming babies is tough!

Auxence · 05/07/2021 18:21

Olive Elizabeth is beautiful! Personally I find Alice a bit boring.

TheWashingMachine · 05/07/2021 18:47

Olive Elizabeth is wonderful.

Kanaloa · 05/07/2021 18:49

It’s beautiful and strong. I would definitely stick with Olive over Alice or Lois, it’s a lovely name. Using Elizabeth as a family middle name is lovely as well.

GintyMcGinty · 05/07/2021 18:50

Alice and Elizabeth are excellent.

I don't like Olive at all. although I don't mind Olivia.

Sally872 · 05/07/2021 18:51

Love sentimental middle names. They really don't have to go with the first name it is the connection that is lovely about them. I like Olive and Alice. Slight preference for Alice and although I don't believe it matters both work with Elizabeth.

Nsky · 05/07/2021 18:55

Very on the buses, Lydia fab tho

IsabellesMissingSock · 05/07/2021 18:58

I like Olive Elizabeth

BiBabbles · 05/07/2021 19:06

I love a delightful coincidence like that AlwaysonEtsy Smile

WaitinginVain · 05/07/2021 19:16

I think Olive is a really ugly sounding name. Alice is better but a bit bland. Not that keen on Lois but like it best of the three. Elizabeth is a lovely, classic name and obviously personal to you.

DotDotDotDotDot · 05/07/2021 19:23

I’d go for Eliza Alice or Lois Elizabeth.
Both gorgeous names in my opinion.
If you like nature names I prefer Hazel, Fern, Rose or Iris. Not keen on Olive, but as you say it’s a bit of a marmite name. Good luck choosing.

olidora63 · 05/07/2021 20:25

Soontobe60 · 05/07/2021 20:33

Olive Oil - girlfriend of Popeye
Olive from On The Buses.

Not my favourite name 🤷🏼‍♀️

Crimblecrumble1990 · 05/07/2021 20:36

I love it. Modern and cool but not cringe or silly.

FayeFayeFayeFayeFaye · 05/07/2021 20:54

I really dislike Olive. It’s so drab sounding.

MadeOfStarStuff · 05/07/2021 21:00

I adore Elizabeth but I really don’t like Olive, I don’t think it looks or sounds nice.

I would personally use Elizabeth as the first name but if you don’t want to do that then Alice Elizabeth is much nicer

user47000000000 · 05/07/2021 21:03

Really lovely name. Strong, feminine, classy

wishing3 · 05/07/2021 21:05

I like it!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 05/07/2021 21:06

looks nice written down but when I say them out loud there's a weird flow
Olivelizabeth

that liveliz bit just sounds odd to me.

I know middle names are seldom used but still. I like both names but not in this combo

Maggiesfarm · 05/07/2021 21:09

I don't like Olive, it makes me think of an elderly aunt.
Elizabeth is lovely; about time that came back in vogue. It's classic.

Dogoodfeelgood · 05/07/2021 21:09

Who ever really says someone’s first name and middle name together all the time though? I think it’s enough to love the first name and choose a second name to honour a grandparent, and as long as they’re not silly together then they’re fine. Olive is a lovely name and Elizabeth is also beautiful and has meaning for your family. I can tell you about 2 of my friends middle names and consistently forget my DPs middle name - so for me it’s about it having meaning rather than flowing with the first name, as it’s never really said in that context.
