June, Kate, Iris, Irene, Leonie, Erin---which do you like/hate?

We're a little limited due to being a bilingual family (Japanese); can't have a name ending in "a" and I don't want a name that all the other bilingual families choose like Emily or Naomi.

Which of these is your favorite and least favorite---and why?

We're bilingual and are going with Gloria.

Others options were Sophie, Marianne, Rebecca, Rosanna, Margot, Charlotte, Morgane, Diane, Willow, Elowen.

I'd say Leonie from your list would have the most consistent prononciation.

Out of those names I love Iris, it’s beautiful. I like the name Kate and I’ve known several but they have always been really mean so I couldn’t choose it! June is cute too x

I like them all, other than Kate - I'd prefer Katherine and then shorten it. I'm not sure about June if the baby wasn't born in June.

June or Erin.

Like: Iris, Leonie and Erin
Dislike: June and Irene
Meh: Kate

Favourite is Irene, but only when pronounced with three syllables. The only other one I like is Kate.

Least favourite is Irene with two syllables.

Irene and Leonie are my favourites, I'm not entirely sure why though with Leonie I would more likely use it as a nickname for Leonor/Leanor/Elenor.

I like June and Iris.

My least favourites are Kate and Erin, largely due to negative associations.

I like Iris, Leonie and Erin.

Kate is very dull and I don't like Irene at all.
June is ok I suppose.

I wouldn't use Kate as a standalone name, only as a nickname for Catherine/Katherine.

I like Iris and Erin best. Then June. Then Irene. Leonie would be bottom of my list.

June - could be a cool name on one person but dowdy on another

Leonie - like
Erin - not for me

I think they are all fine with the exception of Irene. A big No to that one.

Leonie and Erin are lovely.

Kate is very dull.

The others are old lady names which isn't a trend I'm a fan of at all even though it seems like a popular thing at the moment. I like Irina instead of Irene but I can see you don't want a name ending in 'a'.

Wow, very different opinions! This is tricky.
I think I'll rule out Irene as it sounds like it will cause pronunciation difficulties.

I love Iris, I think it's such a pretty name. June for me is blah.

June or Iris.

Not a fan of Leonie.
Kate is fine, but I can’t love it.

June - actually like this more than I thought I would, it's definitely due a revival
Kate - one of the most common names in my age group, so I'm not into this one

Iris - love love love

Irene - pronouned I-ree-nee I like it, I-reen, not so much
Leonie always really liked this one and not too common, but not too "out there"
Erin - not a fan and it's quite common in my area

Depends on pronunciation. Are you thinking LAY-o-nee (like) or Lee-OH-nee (dislike)? Similarly, Eye-reen, Eye-ree-nee (dislike), Ih-ren, or Ih-ray-neh?
I like Erin and Iris.

I like Kate and Iris. Erin and June are ok. Don’t like Irene and really don’t like Leonie.

I’m Australian and Irene and Leonie sound terrible with our accent!

June and Iris are my favourites.

Don’t like Iris (the sound of the word, or the flower!)

Or Irene, old fashioned.

The rest are fine!
