June, Kate, Iris, Irene, Leonie, Erin---which do you like/hate?

We're a little limited due to being a bilingual family (Japanese); can't have a name ending in "a" and I don't want a name that all the other bilingual families choose like Emily or Naomi.

Which of these is your favorite and least favorite---and why?

I absolutely love Lèonie; it’s one of my most favourite names for a girl.

Leonie or Kate

I love Iris as I have one so don't want it to get too common haha

Leonie really like, Iris like all the others are a no but really dislike Irene I'm afraid.

I don't like any of them sorry

Iris - just ok
Irene - nice if said as Eye-reenee
Leonie - ok but is it Lay-on-ee, Lee-Oh-nee, or ...
June - not keen, Juno is better
Erin - nothingy and harsh sounding

The others - eh. Really can’t warm to June.

I like Leonie and June best. Leonie June would work well if you're looking for a first and middle name combination.

I don't really like Kate, it's a bit dull IMO.

Iris is lovely.

June is dated.

Kate is OK but not very exciting.

No strong feelings either way about the rest.

Leonie is extremely pretty and one of my top choices for a girl.

I quite like all of the others apart from Irene. Irene should be a beautiful name too, but it reminds me strongly of both my mum's/grandmother's generation (kind of like Brenda/Barbara type names) and also of Come On Eileen, though I know that is a different name!

I love Leonie.

June is unusual but there is one in my DD's primary class - is it making a comeback? Sounds as though it would work well with Japanese though that's just an impression.

They’re all nice. June, Irene & Erin are my favourites.

Kate is the best.

This is funny as my name is Leonie but I've always been called Leo and much prefer it (completely outing myself here). I also have a sister called Irene (with an accent over the last e) but pronounced with 3 syllables. She signs off Irenie to stop people mispronouncing it.

Not keen on June , leonie or kate ( unless short for Katherine )

I think Kate is the strongest name, some of the others sound a bit wishy washy.

Just a point on Kate but you will know better than me.

I’m a Kate (female!) and my Japanese colleague called his son Kate. It took him ages to tell me the name!

Love Leonie (I know 2 amazing women called Leonie), Erin and Iris.
Kate is a bit meh without being short for Katherine.
Dislike June.

I like them all except Irene, which sounds old-fashioned to me but not in a good way.
