Not sure if we’re having a girl or boy yet but think we’ve narrowed the girls list down to four possibilities. Needs to go with big sisters name Maya (pronounced My-A).

Thoughts?

Cecelia (likely to use CeeCee for NN)
Evie
Riley
Annie

Cecelia. Can be Celia or Ceelee, but I love CeeCee.

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 08:10

Surname is two syllables, beginning with a W.

Love Annie!

Really don’t like any of your other options.

Pixilicious · 31/05/2021 08:11

Cecelia 1
Evie 3
Riley 4
Annie 2

sorryiasked · 31/05/2021 08:12

Cecilia buy a mile (altho I'd spell it Cecilia)

MsTSwift · 31/05/2021 08:13

Annie is lovely. Cecilia ok but abit fussy frilly. Avoid Eve names they are insanely popular. Riley - I don’t want to sound snobbish but I wouldn’t choose it

Nuggetnugget · 31/05/2021 08:15

Annie is beautiful

allthequeenshorsesandmen · 31/05/2021 08:18

I would associate Riley with being a boys name

Annie is the best

Chunkymenrock · 31/05/2021 08:21

Not keen on any. Annie is the least bad.

AdaColeman · 31/05/2021 08:23

Cecelia is lovely.

PiuVinoPerFavore · 31/05/2021 08:27

No to Riley and Evie. Annie and Cecelia are quite nice.

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 08:30

Thanks all!

Cecelia and Annie were my favourites so good to see they are the most liked (or least hated) on this thread too.

What's wrong with Ann? I like it better than Annie (nana name) or Anna (too common). Evie is OK. Riley is naff. Cecelia is 🙄 and Cecilia lends itself to cilly for short. But that's just to my ear. Choose what you love. I don't think second child should be limited by 1st child's name either - but again just me. My mother thought I was joking when I shared dc1 name, so who am I to advise 😂

moovinon · 31/05/2021 12:47

I love Evie.
Not mad on the rest, but I like Cece for Cecelia, but really don't like the full name.

MrsCrosbyNRTB · 31/05/2021 12:51

Annie.

None of the others. Sorry

EssentialHummus · 31/05/2021 12:51

Love Cecilia, but with that spelling. Anne nn Annie?

luxurychocolate · 31/05/2021 12:52

Cecelia. Nn Lia

Really don't like the rest. Esp Riley.

wanderedlonelyasacloud · 31/05/2021 12:53

I love Annie, and I like Cecilia. Also like Cecily which is similar.

I don't like Evie or Riley but not for any real reason really!

IggyAce · 31/05/2021 13:32

Cecelia (likely to use CeeCee for NN) - love
Evie - boring, very popular
Riley - I like this
Annie - no

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 15:17

Thanks all!

DH really likes Annie too but thinks it should be a shortened version of a longer proper name. What would it be short for though, Annabel? Anything else?

OP posts:
SoapboxFox · 31/05/2021 15:18

I like Cecilia (with this spelling) and Annie.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/05/2021 15:20

@Babynamechange1bn controversially I like Riley best, we are between that and two others for our daughter due in a few weeks x

Posieandpip · 31/05/2021 15:22

Love Annie and Cecelia! Annie Cecelia sounds cute, but Cecelia Annie doesn't work.

TatianaBis · 31/05/2021 16:08

Prefer Cecilia to Cecelia. Annie would make a nice middle name. Can’t abide Riley. Evie is just everywhere.

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 16:30

Hadn’t really thought about there being different spellings, I quite like either Cecelia or Cecilia. Not sure which is the ‘proper’ one or if they’re both used.
