My husband and I can’t decide a name for our baby girl, the names we’ve thought of so far are:
Fallon
Thea
Harper
Avery

I also love James for a girl but my husband hates it.
Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Sorry, I don't like any of them. James is a lovely name, for a boy.

ILoveStickers · 25/05/2021 19:07

Thea is lovely - the others aren't to my personal taste, but Harper is also fine.

Thisisjaaam · 25/05/2021 19:07

Thea is ok but not keen on any

diddlediddle · 25/05/2021 19:10

Thea is the only acceptable one!

Fallon is so unpleasant 😫

CeibaTree · 25/05/2021 19:10

James and Fallon are boys names to me, I quite like Thea (but short for Dorothea) and Harper - although I guess with Harper everyone would think you'd named her after the Beckham girl. How about Beatrix or Tabitha?

IggyAce · 25/05/2021 19:13

I like all of your names, Thea is probably the most popular on your list.
I suggest:
Blake
Blair
Addison
Aspen
Jaime

SleepingStandingUp · 25/05/2021 19:18

Not keen on Fallon, and Harper just reminds me of Harper's Bazaar / baby Beckham.

Avery and Thea are just gorgeous though.

Babydust13 · 25/05/2021 19:48

I think Fallon and Harper are lovely names 🥰

DotDotDotDotDot · 25/05/2021 19:51

I like Thea from your list, although it depends where you’re based, could get pronounced like Fee-a or Fear which are not good. Not keen on your others, sorry. Maybe Everly?

user1493494961 · 25/05/2021 22:16

I like Thea, Avery is OK, Fallon and Harper are awful.

Bellyups · 25/05/2021 22:28

I don’t like any of them, sorry

Abraxan · 25/05/2021 22:40

I really don't like James or Fallon for a girl. They sound like boy's names, James definitely so.

Of your options I'd say Thea (def a girls name to me) or Avery (which I see more as unisex due to teaching bit sexes with the name)

Harper I just don't particularly like.

partyatthepalace · 26/05/2021 20:52

Thea is ok, bit meh, I quite like Fallen, in a made up name sort of way. Harper and Avery are quite downmarket I think. James is a boy’s name!

Maybe - Stella, Clara, Freya, Ffion, Frances, Aster, Esther, Verity, Cecily, Honor

DramaAlpaca · 26/05/2021 20:53

Sorry, I don't like any of them. We have very different taste. And James for a girl is plain daft.

Luzina · 26/05/2021 20:54

Thea is ok. The rest I don’t like especially Fallon

Strokethefurrywall · 26/05/2021 21:00

They’re all great names - I loved Harper for a girl, also Ellis, Dylan, Piper and Leah were on our girls list.

Honestly, other than James, I think they’re all perfectly acceptable and different to the Daisy, Poppy, Molly, Amelia, Olivia ubiquitous names right now.

Teacakequeen · 26/05/2021 21:30

How about Farrah instead of Fallon?

20viona · 26/05/2021 21:33

Absolutely love fallon

VioletCharlotte · 26/05/2021 21:40

I like Fallon and Thea (I've always loved Fallon since watching Dynasty back in the day - showing my age here!)

Hollyhocksarenotmessy · 26/05/2021 21:54

Thea and Harper are OK.
Fallon makes me think of 80s big hair and shoulder pads.
Avery means labels to me.

Ratatattatpat · 26/05/2021 22:19

I don't like any of them. Jamie is alright for a girl.

ChaseTheSun · 26/05/2021 22:27

Love Thea. Instead of Avery, how about Avia? It’s a bit different but really pretty.

LittleGwyneth · 27/05/2021 15:15

Harlow
Hallie
Briar
Blair
Willow / Willa
Meredith

Sorrycantreadtest · 27/05/2021 20:58

Fallon reminds me of big hair, shoulder pads and the petulant daughter in Dynasty back in the 80's. The other names are a bit 'meh' for me. I do know someone whose toddler daughter is named James. I feel sorry for the child.

xprincessxjanetx · 28/05/2021 23:19

I love Thea and Harper, unfortunately my DH doesn't like them so I can't use them. Not so keen on your others though but it's just my personal tastes.
