Little brother for Mabel and Stanley

Due in 9 weeks, we have a few names we like but none that we love!

I actually have 7 children but putting all their names would be outing and the youngest two are Mabel and Stanley (called Stan day to day).

I like old fashioned names, we like Sidney, DH loves Buster but it’s too doggy for my liking. I also like Bruno! But I imagine a Bruno to be dark haired and my babies are all blonde and blue eyed.

With all the others I was set in a name right from the beginning so this is a strange feeling! Please give me some ideas and help me find the one!

Edwin, Alfred, Bruce, Ralph, Ken (Kenneth/Kenellm) Bertie (Bertram, Robert, Cuthbert), John, Leonard, Peter, Paul, Mark, Roland Victor

I would suggest Norman but that's probably a bit too porridge-y - perhaps Ronnie instead?

Benjamin, if you think this one will be your youngest

Or Septimus?

I worked for a mum of a Stanley. Her dog was called Mabel and she called her second son Dougal.

Congratulations on your eight child. Smile

Ernest.

AuntieStella · 20/05/2021 18:15

Oh gosh! I misread as this being the seventh - cancel Septimus and add Octavius/Octavian instead.

Or perhaps August/us (eighth month for eighth baby)

Your names are very Gilbert and Sullivan. Have a look at some of the names in their operettas.

Arthur
Sidney - love this
Lenny / Leonard
Albert / Bert / Bertie
Herbert / Bert / Herby

If it helps, there’s a Bruno in DDs class with floppy blonde hair and blue eyes. Really suits him.
