We've narrowed it down to either Felicity or Chloe for our new baby daughter... really can't decide so looking for opinions!

Both nice enough

What about Celeste or Cecily

May2021Mummy · 21/04/2021 05:13

I'd probably go with Felicity just because Chloe is so popular there's loads about but I don't know anyone called Felicity

MrBond · 21/04/2021 05:15

Felicity. Lonely meaning and I've only ever met two.

Every Chloe I've met has been a total PITA.

MrBond · 21/04/2021 05:16

*Lovely meaning, that should say!

Purplesparkle34 · 21/04/2021 05:29

Chloe! But I’m biased as I have one.

Edenember · 21/04/2021 05:31

I actually prefer Chloe of the two. No idea how popular it is now. Not keen on nn Flick.

Milkywaystars · 21/04/2021 05:38

We know 5 girls called Chloe and 2 Felicity's so I'd go for the latter. However, if I was to have a daughter now I'd choose either Lydia or Adeline, there aren't many of those around.

Silverfly · 21/04/2021 05:58

Chloe - gorgeous

whiteroseredrose · 21/04/2021 06:03

Both really lovely names.

I've known several nice Chloes but Felicity is a bit different.

I had a distinct lack of imagination when we named DD. Names like Felicity and Penelope only occurred to me much later.

I'd probably pick Felicity of the two.

ILoveStickers · 21/04/2021 06:19

Both lovely.

I think I'd pick Chloe.

AnyaMoondial · 21/04/2021 06:23

Chloe

Onlinedilema · 21/04/2021 06:25

Felicity.

Peachbubble · 21/04/2021 06:36

Chloe

Lulu1919 · 21/04/2021 06:54

Felicity

SazCat · 21/04/2021 09:14

Thanks everyone, no closer to deciding but nice that the names seem well liked!

Why don't you wait until she's born and see what suits her best?

17caterpillars1mouse · 21/04/2021 09:31

I like both

I know two small Felicity's but the youngest Chloe I know what a 10. I like Fliss and Flick as a nn for Felicity. I live Chloe as a nn for Clotilde

SazCat · 21/04/2021 09:35

She has been born Smile it helped take a few other names off the shortlist but just undecided between these. Swaying towards Felicity as I think it seems rarer!

Congratulations! My vote is for Felicity ☺️

babynamelover · 21/04/2021 09:44

Felicity ages better I think 🙂

MrBond · 21/04/2021 09:56

Definitely Felicity.

DH vetoed it or I've have had it.

MrBond · 21/04/2021 09:56

And congratulations!

SazCat · 21/04/2021 09:57

I think my DH concern is that we have a Jessica who we shorten to Jess/Jessie a lot, and that this might be too similar to nicknames for Felicity like Fliss or Lissy.

I don't think it's an issue tho!

MrBond · 21/04/2021 09:57

What we did was pick one to call her by for a few days privately but not release the name to other people until we were sure. Maybe do that?

BabloHoney · 21/04/2021 09:58

Congratulations! I love both names, Felicity may get shorted to Flick, Cici or Fliss, do you like the shorted versions?
