Lola, Lara, Lucy, Lucia

Lara & Lucia are my favourites, really pretty. I like Lola but it seems a bit little girly to me so I prefer Lara & Lucia. Not a fan of Lucy for some reason.

Lara definitely my favourite and then Lucia & Lucy.

Really dislike Lola, it might be cute as a toddler but a 40 year old Lola just sounds odd to me.

Lucy would be my favourite. Very classy and sweet

I love them all but Lucy, Lara and Lucia are classic. Lola is my favourite but it is a bit marmite. I would probably use it as a short version of something else or at least chose a very classic name for a middle name.

I know you’ve asked about Lara, but how about Clara instead? It sounds softer than Lara and more beautiful.

Lola is a popular name so I wouldn’t choose that, Lucy is cute for a child but not so much for an adult, and I’m not keen on Lucia.

With Lucia would you be pronouncing Lu-ch-ee-a or Lu-s-ee-a or Lu-sha?

Mind you lots of English people use Lola as a name on its own. So, I suppose it depends on where you live and your cultural background, as with any name it will mean something more to you because of why you chose it.

They're all lovely, but I like all the 'ara' names, so Lara definitely gets my vote.

Actually Lola is a diminutive for Delores but has been a name in its own right for many generations ( even in Spanish speaking countries)
