How about Delphine or Anne?

CaptainMyCaptain · 22/03/2021 13:21

No. It's a house name.

Seafog · 22/03/2021 13:21

I watched Road to Avonlea for years, it will always be a place name to me

Sexnotgender · 22/03/2021 13:24

Lol, no.

SoupDragon · 22/03/2021 13:24

Cream cheese.

RedGoldAndGreene · 22/03/2021 13:38

No. Much normal names out like Avery, Ava, Leigh etc

Vursayles · 22/03/2021 13:46

No. It is not a person’s name, it describes a place. If you do it your kid will be desperately researching “deed pole name change” as soon as they’re old enough to type.

Synchrony · 22/03/2021 15:51

I actually quite like it, it reminds me of Anne of Green Gables. Having said that, I prefer the name Avalon.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/03/2021 16:24

I don't like it sorry. I don't think there's anything wrong with it particularly because anything goes now. I just don't like the sound of it.
How about
Averly
Everly.
Amelie
Hadley
Kimberly

Only if you're naming a 1970's built bungalow with an avocado bathroom suite and original kitchen

gollymissdolly · 22/03/2021 17:09

That's a name I might call a house but definitely not a child

Have you considered Smoggly or Fumblart?

hamper555 · 22/03/2021 17:20

Care home. Sorry OP!

No because it is dairy brand

bridgetreilly · 22/03/2021 18:12

Anne.

Or even Marilla.

PattyPan · 22/03/2021 20:18

Anne of Green Gables was my favourite book as a child but it's a huge no from me. It sounds like a butter brand.

Absolutelyscunnered · 22/03/2021 20:26

I’m sure there had been a thread OMG is name previously and the consensus was very much no.

Absolutelyscunnered · 22/03/2021 20:26

A thread on this previously 😬

LondonMummer · 22/03/2021 20:34

Why not go all out and call her Dairylea

GreatTeaMonkey · 22/03/2021 20:48

No it’s terrible, it sounds like a brand of yoghurt or cheap skincare!

AlexaShutUp · 22/03/2021 20:50

No. I love the Anne books, but this is not a name. Sorry.

OysterMonkey · 22/03/2021 20:53

Totally sounds like a squirty cream.
So no.

tiredmum2468 · 22/03/2021 20:58

Why? It's bloody awful
Old people's homes
Cheap toiletries
