We are down to three choices- Arthur, Elliot or Samuel.

Arthur I worry sounds too similar to saying “half a”
Elliot I worry is too similar sounding to the word idiot?
Samuel was never a favourite of mine but it’s grown on me. I’ve been calling him Sammy occasionally and think it’s cute and suits him but worry Samuel is too “boring”.

His brothers are called Oliver and Isaac. He has lovely ginger hair and delicate features. Teddy was another consideration but it doesn’t go so well with the other boys names.

I think Samuel is lovely

Bunnybigears · 21/03/2021 19:28

You are overthinking with your thoughts on Arthur and Elliot. I think Samuel fits nicely with your other boys names.

Aurorie11 · 21/03/2021 19:30

What about Edward, and use nn of Teddy
You would probably have Olly, Zac and Ted(dy) when they are older

piglet81 · 21/03/2021 19:32

I like them all but would pick Samuel. Do you have a middle name in mind?

Congratulations on your new arrival!

May2021Mummy · 21/03/2021 19:32

Samuel is a lovely name my favourite of your choices and goes well with your other boys names

mnahmnah · 21/03/2021 19:34

All three are lovely and you are worrying too much about Arthur and Elliot. I’m a teacher and have taught plenty with these names, never an issue with associations and with any of them. Elliot is the least popular, but they are all fab

Persipan · 21/03/2021 19:34

The only thing I would say about Elliot is I always have trouble remembering how many Ls and how many Ts any given Elliot uses.

EvilOnion · 21/03/2021 19:35

I think you've subconsciously settled on Samuel by calling him Sammy so go with it - I know a few boys called Sam rather than Samuel on their birth certificate and think it's a lovely name, not boring at all :)

Emelene · 21/03/2021 19:35

All 3 are lovely names. I think Samuel goes best with your other boys’ names. You are right that Sammy is cute for a little boy but I think Samuel is really handsome too. Congratulations!

WilsonMilson · 21/03/2021 19:37

Samuel fits with your other dc’s names best and is lovely. I don’t like Arthur. I like Elliot and considered it for my ds but then someone mentioned an Elliot they knew was nicknamed ‘Smelliot’, and I went right off it.

RickOShay · 21/03/2021 19:39

I like them all, but my favourite is Elliot. We decided dc3’s name in the CAR on the way to register him. He was five weeks and 6 days old Grin

Lotsachocolateplease · 21/03/2021 19:39

I’d go with Elliott keeping with the vowel as a first initial theme!! I’m not keen on Arthur. Sounds like arfer to me.
Samuels ok. Sam nicer than sammy for an older boy/teen/adult.

Ikeameatballs · 21/03/2021 19:40

I like them all but I think Samuel goes best with your other boy names.

What about Samuel Edward?

DramaAlpaca · 21/03/2021 19:40

Samuel will be perfect with the other two.

Disneymum1993 · 21/03/2021 19:41

Love Samuel but love Elliot more my wee boy could have been an Elliot but he ended up Colton

alexio · 21/03/2021 19:43

Elliot and Samuel are lovely and not names that are heard that often. And they go well with your other boys names

Lemonlemonlime · 21/03/2021 19:49

Elliot. I love that name but wouldn’t have used it as it didn’t go with our surname. Samuel is lovely too.

FelicityPike · 21/03/2021 19:51

I love Samuel.

Woodlandbelle · 21/03/2021 19:52

Love all your name choices.
Other options
Oliver Issac and Jude
Alex
Henry

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 21/03/2021 19:58

Samuel is gorgeous and goes so nicely with your other boys' names.

We nearly used Samuel for DS2. It was a close call but we went with Edward in the end, only really because he looked like more of an Edward. If we have another DS I'm almost certain he would be Samuel.

BeachBall3 · 21/03/2021 20:00

Congrats on your little one!
I think you’re overthinking it, I’ve never thought that about Arthur or Elliot. Samuel is lovely too, and Sammy is a cute nickname. Goes well with your other names too,

Harvey3 · 21/03/2021 20:01

I like all three! Not very helpful I know!

Laytwir024 · 21/03/2021 20:03

Sammy but short for Sampson (or Samson is nice too)

KirstenBlest · 21/03/2021 20:10

Samuel.

Definitely not Sampson.

DavidsSchitt · 21/03/2021 20:25
