What are people’s thoughts/opinions on this name please? 🤔 Any suggestions on this or similar names would be fantastic or names that would go with it (middle names etc)
Thankyou any help is appreciated.

A good, strong and classic name.

My only reservation would be the concern that it would be shortened to Connie which I'm not keen on.

Leanne001 · 13/03/2021 22:02

Sorry., just catching up with your messages... I agree with all your advice! Thankyou allagain.thatGloriavale cult does have some unusual not so common names lol.,

We have decided on the following (leaving out the surname which starts with M)..

Constance Autumn Lilly
Bethany Constance
Constance Bethany
Constance Clementine (C.C for nickname)
Clementine Constance (again C.C for nickname)
Clementine (No Middle name)
Constance (No Middlw name)

Sorry for the fast short reply little'buds sleeping habits changing 😴

Makes me think of D'Artagnan's kick ass girlfriend in The Musketeers.

I also know a couple of lovely Connie's through work.

MintyCedric · 13/03/2021 22:07

Constance Autumn Lily or Constance Clementine.

Leanne001 · 13/03/2021 22:20

Bethany Constance Autumn Lilly M
(B.C.A.L.M) Big name for a little lady and she would kill us being that long lol

or Carenza….(the lovely archaeologist on time team)

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 13/03/2021 23:02

My fave it Bethany Constance - great name. I prefer Beth over Connie as a nickname as well.

jakeyboy1 · 13/03/2021 23:12

I loved Constance but husband didn't. Ended up getting Connie as a middle name though!

BasiliskStare · 14/03/2021 04:47

I knew a Connie who was a Constance - this was probably 45 years ago - apart from my mother the strongest woman I have known

It is obviously, obviously , obviously your choice @Leanne001 But just chucking a vote in for Constance rather than Bethany Blush Flowers

Historytoo · 14/03/2021 07:11

Perhaps it has pockets of geographical popularity, there were three in DD2's primary school, another Connie in her Brownies group and now another in her secondary school. So locally to us it's not an unusual name :-)

Chilldonaldchill · 14/03/2021 09:31

Constance Lydia
Constance Imogen
Constance Meredith
Constance Annabel
Constance Eliza
Constance Naomi

Chilldonaldchill · 14/03/2021 09:33

Sorry I just saw your update.
Constance Bethany is the nicest in my view.
(I like Clementine but Constance Clementine is quite a mouthful and Constance Autumn Lily seems a bit gimmicky).

Leanne001 · 14/03/2021 09:58

Thank-you for all your comments! Means so much to us both and I'm really unsure how I can answer you all individually (Being new on here)
But I will try.

Coming up with Constance was unusual my husband was walking in the woods with the dogs and the name just hit him and he rang me straight away(there is no reason why he would think of that name because we don't know anyone called Constance)... we saw this as a sign... But a few months later the same happened to me but with the name Bethany while walking the dogs together.

I think it's a lovely name!
Names with a similar vibe: Patience, Joy, Prudence, Faith, Clementine, Ruth, Rachel, Serena: all underused IMO.
Names which would work as middle names: pretty much anything as it's a 2 syllable name with consonant sounds at both ends. Really flexible! Anything from 1 to 4 syllables with or without open vowel sounds. Do you have any family names you'd like to honour? Any of the list above except Patience or Prudence would work!

Leanne001 · 14/03/2021 10:44

@ODFOx no family names to be honoured besides out surname... we've gone all out rouge 😆

Lovely name, blessings on little Constance Bethany, and I am pleased you chose the Bethany spelling , it will make her life a little easier, which is what we want to do as parents.

viques · 14/03/2021 18:06

Sorry Bethany Constance!!!!!

SE13Mummy · 14/03/2021 18:41

Bethany Constance is lovely! I'm glad you've got over the possibility that your 'friend' will think your DD is named after hers.

ladygindiva · 14/03/2021 18:47

Chocomel · 14/03/2021 19:33
