We've whittled down to:
Ivy
Astrid
Imogen
Freya
Eva

I can't decide which one!

OP posts:

Imogen or Freya.

Warrickdaviesasplates · 01/03/2021 14:11

They're all lovely names!

Astrid
Imogen
Freya

Are my favourites, have you any ideas for a middle name? Try saying the entire name with your surname does any go better?

1starwars2 · 01/03/2021 14:12

I like them all but every other female toddler seems to be a version of Eva, Ava so I wouldn't go for Eva because of that.

Clevs · 01/03/2021 14:15

In order of preference:
1=Ivy
1=Eva

  1. Freya
  2. Imogen
  3. Astrid
bonfireheart · 01/03/2021 14:16

Nice list! Not useful but like them all! Which go better with surname?

ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldHave · 01/03/2021 14:18

Love Astrid then Ivy.

Eva and Freya are too popular and will get lost among the many similar ‘a’ ending names.
Don’t really like Imogen.

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 01/03/2021 14:18

Ivy absolutely! DS had a teacher called Ivy and I always thought what a lovely name it was. Beautifully simple but (in my neck of the woods anyway) pretty uncommon.

Kanaloa · 01/03/2021 14:21

Ivy - ok, don’t love it
Astrid - really don’t like this name, think it just doesn’t sound nice at all
Imogen - nice as well, I know a small one who is called Immy
Freya - really nice, not too popular but not outlandish
Eva - popular if that bothers you but a lovely, simple and pretty name

Edenember · 01/03/2021 14:26

I like them all! Imogen, Freyja and Ivy are on my list. I prefer Eve (on my list) to Eva. Like Astrid and indeed many Scandi names but I’m not sure on the ass- start, prefer Ingrid (also on my list).

partyatthepalace · 01/03/2021 14:28
  1. Astrid - lovely, up and coming but not very much used right now
Joint 1. Freya - am liking the Scandie theme! Lovely name - very popular a while ago, but less common now I think (check on darkgreener if it bothers you).
  1. Ivy - I like it but it is becoming v popular
  2. Imogen - I don’t love it personally but it’s a nice name and not super popular
  3. Eva - lovely but there are SO many Eve/Eva/Ava/Evelyns I would avoid unless it’s the only name you like
Divorcethediv · 01/03/2021 14:32

Ivy - 4/10
Astrid - 1/10
Imogen - 3/10
Freya - 6/10
Eva - 8/10

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 01/03/2021 14:39

Ivy then Imogen.
The others seem very of the moment which is fine if you like them.

HappyFourTeeth · 01/03/2021 14:50

Imogen

notalwaysalondoner · 01/03/2021 14:52

My preference:
Imogen
Freya
Astrid
Ivy
Eva

I spent all day yesterday ripping ivy off trees and now can’t remember why I ever thought Ivy was a nice name, horrible parasitic plant, and Eva is lovely but so so popular.

ofwarren · 01/03/2021 14:53

They are all lovely names!
I think Astrid is possibly my favourite though.
Great choices OP.

Maybemay123 · 01/03/2021 15:01

My top two would be (in no particular order) :
Freya
Eva

Whatsyourflava · 01/03/2021 15:08

A great list
Imogen is my favourite
So underused these days and descending in the charts every year, which is a good sign if that sort of thing matters to you

Biscuitsneeded · 01/03/2021 15:13

Ivy.

Imogen, Eva and Freya far too popular and Astrid I just don't really like, but Ivy is pretty but unfussy.

ElaineMarieBenes · 01/03/2021 15:16

Freya

Twizbe · 01/03/2021 15:22

Astrid is my favourite on this list. Imogen next.

I know lots of baby / toddler Ivy, Freya, And Eva.

KirstenBlest · 01/03/2021 15:27

Ivy - don't like
Astrid - like but it's popular
Imogen - fine but I don't like Immy
Freya - overused so a bit meh, Frey isn't very nice
Eva - overused and I don't like it

toastofthetown · 01/03/2021 16:12

Ivy - ok, but indistinct from all of the Evies and Avas and Islas
Astrid - really like Astrid, by far my favourite on this list. It’s strong and consonant heavy. Very refreshing
Imogen - it’s nice. I know several Imogens my age
Freya - overused and dull
Eva - similar to Ivy, though I do prefer Eva

AllMyPrettyOnes · 01/03/2021 16:16

Ivy - Really like this. Sounds very whimsical and pretty. Not common either.

Astrid - My favourite. Love it.

Imogen - Nice but a bit plain.

Freya - Boring. Overused.

Eva - As above. There seems to be a million Eva, Eve, Evelyn, Ella's around.
