We went in with 3 names. Once we saw dd, we both knew which was the correct name for her from our list. I’m glad we didn’t try to narrow it down further because any of the other names would have been completely wrong for her.

I love Elowen. It’s top of my list if I have another girl!

My pick would be Xanthe Rose!

I think Elowen might end up as just another Ellie (El- names are so popular at the moment). Lowenna is fine but not as nice as Xanthe imo. Zennor I think would cause so much confusion in terms of pronunciation, spelling etc each time you introduce your DD - although it's a beautiful sound.

Thanks everyone. Top two we were leaning more towards so may be we will have to wait and see what suits. We do like them all and they all have meaning above and beyond just the name. So hard. Hopefully people would know how to pronounce them too

Elowen sounds too much like lol to me so I'd rule that one out.

Not keen on any of them but Lowenna if I had to choose.

Xanthe is beautiful - uncommon but so classical and elegant sounding.

Second choice would be Lowenna followed by Elowen - both very pretty, but both sound strongly Cornish to me (if that matters?)

Only one I dislike is Zennor.

Lowenna sounds like someone with a speech impediment who can’t say Lorena. Like a little boy whose name I asked and he said Howie and I thought he meant Harry but he didn’t

Lowenna sounds made up and vague to me, Zennor I just think is odd.

Xanthe is very elegant, Elowen is pretty but would end up as another Ellie, Lowenna is drab and agree with pp, Zennor is odd.
