Aurora was originally our favourite, but I love Meadow too!! I’m so indecisive, which one do you like best?

I prefer Meadow. Aurora is getting more popular

Love Meadow! Used to really like Aurora but it is getting really common and I am not too far from you by the sound of it!

I like Aurora. Makes me think of the aurora borealis.

Is Meadow a name now? I'm with the PP who thought it would be like naming a child Field or Hedge. If it is becoming a name, I'd be wary - it sounds to me like a name that might become very trendy very quickly and then date just as quickly (think of little girls named Kylie in the 1980s). If you love the name and that doesn't bother you, then go for it.

Aurora. It's a lovely name.

There was Meadow Soprano in the TV show. I know two girls called Meadow. One aged 8 and a new baby. Lots of modern names sound crazy at first but you get used to them. I think all the tradesmen names are mad - Cooper, Mason, Taylor, Tiyler, Hunter, Archer etc. I know the spellings aren't the exact same but you know what i mean. Still, people get used to anything

I live in Durham, how common is it? How many do you know?

I live in a village in Northumberland and know 5 under 5 so still not as popular as say Olivia or Isla etc but seems to be gaining in popularity!

PainterInPeril · 05/01/2021 15:04

I prefer Meadow out of the two. What about Meade(pronounced Meed)?

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 05/01/2021 15:45

Meadow.

Aurora is the kind of name that will be butchered when pronounced in certain accents. I say this as someone who cringed every time my name was pronounced by several family friends for years....
