Thoughts on the name on its own? Or better shortened from Christopher / Christian?

Not really keen on Christopher as know quite a few people named Chris

@MonaLisaPiles aww glad to hear that! I was worried about it being abit too out there but it grows on me the more and more I say it!

Our last name is Spurr so just need to find a nice flowing middle name also now

A relative has this as his name. Like it.

LemonBar · 21/11/2020 20:46

I love Kit.

thegreylady · 21/11/2020 21:24

Kester is an old form of Christopher

sarah13xx · 27/03/2021 11:04

Did you use it? What’s the middle name? Love it! It’s in my top 3 now

KirstenBlest · 27/03/2021 11:44

Don't put Christopher or Christian on the BC unless you like the name.

Kit is the name of one of the Rooney children.

Violetlavenders · 27/03/2021 14:21

Sports kit, rugby kit, kitty cat etc I'm not keen as a name.

I do like Christopher!

I have a Kit. She loves her name 😂

Drunkenmonkey · 27/03/2021 15:32

I know a Killian Thomas shortened to Kit. Very cool I think.

Mimilamore · 27/03/2021 15:47

👍🏻

partyatthepalace · 27/03/2021 15:59

As a nn great - but definitely not as a full name - it’s too nick namey, and also quite unisex.

Kester - a Scottish version of Christopher - is an alternative version. Very underused I think.

Tartyflette · 27/03/2021 16:04

My late DM was universally known as Kit - it really suited her as she was a very glamorous and fashionable 50s/60s lady who wore Audrey Hepburn type scarves and sunglasses, capri pants or chic frocks. And smoked looong cigarettes.

Violetlavenders · 27/03/2021 16:05

Kit as in kitten 🐈‍⬛
Kit bag 💼
Kitty cat 🐈
Kit Kat

I'm not keen on Kit as a name for either gender.
