Sister for William and Flora

DD2 due in a few weeks and struggling to find a name I love. Surname ends -ee-ee, so trying to avoid -ee ending names, though I do love Peigi (pronounced Peggy, Scottish spelling)

Current front runners
Greta (get that it’s a marmite name, much like Flora I suspect)
Clara

Thoughts appreciated! Thanks

Beatrice

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/11/2020 20:32

Clara is too similar to Flora. I’m not fussed on Greta but I think that’s the better option.
Other then ideas if you’re looking.

Anna
Eliza
Rosa
Tessa.

How about:

Sorry I hadn't seen the other posts.
I agree that Flora and Clara are too similar though I love Clara.
I'm not a fan of Greta to be honest.
I think it sounds harsh compared to the siblings.
Carys could work as well.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 06/11/2020 20:36

I love Peggy!

Tess, Iona, Nancy, Marnie, Honor.

VenusClapTrap · 06/11/2020 20:37

Greta is lovely.

daisydalrymple · 06/11/2020 20:37

I was also going to suggest Eliza.

Eleanor
Iris
Freya
Georgia

I also think names like Alice / Emma / Anna would go well, but not sure if these are a bit ‘too’ traditional for you

ForthPlace · 06/11/2020 20:43

Ida
Celine
Mabel
Elize (love Eliza but maybe too many 'A's with Flora)
Esther

Always love the OP's feedback on these threads.

Is Freya too similar to Flora?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/11/2020 21:46

William and Flora have a sweetly old-fashioned, traditional feel when said/written together to me. Clara fits that well, but is very similar to Flora. Greta is nice but a bit nicknamey for me I think (is Margaret nn Greta or Peigi a no go?) Maybe Louisa, Ada, May, Lydia, Alice, or Helena? I also like the suggestions of Iris, Beatrice, Mabel, Anna and Emma.
