I prefer Wilfred but both are good!

If Conrad is a particularly cool teenager he can use the nickname Rad Grin

I love Wilfred. Conrad is a cool name, but I can't quite get past the 'con' bit reminding me of prisoners and con-artists.

Wilfred is an old man with a flat cap name. Conrad if it has to br one of the other.
I can’t understand this fashion for ugly old man type names.

I like Wilfred for a child - and it has good nicknames for an adult - Fred if Wilf is too twee.

I don't like Conrad - it sounds hard to my ears and the nicknames / shortenings are horrid. Con?

I think Wilfred sounds a bit meek, but its sweet sounding.

Wilfred because you have the choice of Wilf, Fred, Freddie, Will for shortened names.

Conrad: Con, Connie or Rad. Not pleasant.

Watching with interest as Wilfred is on my list for DS due next year. I’m surprised at the level of objection to it from PP Blush. I’m not keen on Conrad tbh, I think it’s quite a different style to Wilfred. Let us know what you decide!

They are very different names. Conrad is grown-up and cool, Wilfred is cute and nostalgic.

@Minibea Wilfred is so lovely! Such a classic with so much history and depth. Jealous you're going to get to potentially use it.
There are strong reactions to every name on here. You won't find any name is universally liked so don't let us put you off names you like.
I personally hate the sound of Conrad and the Con bit at the start is awful.
