I dont know what im having, and I've really struggled to find a boy's name that i like. Now that I have found one, im worried it doesnt go with my surname.

So please tell what you think of:

No, I think it's fine

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/09/2020 07:53

It’s a bit clunky but not awful.

SalvatoreMaroni · 11/09/2020 07:55

I love it

sitckmansladylove · 11/09/2020 07:58

Its fine!

MercyBodle · 11/09/2020 08:18

I agree with the pp who said it's a bit clunky but not awful.

Quinque · 11/09/2020 08:22

I like the rhythm of it. It's not at all clunky, it flows really well.

joystir59 · 11/09/2020 08:24

Nice

DidoAtTheLido · 11/09/2020 08:30

No, both names ending in ‘an’ and the two Ds sounds very inelegant. Ugly, even.

missmouse101 · 11/09/2020 08:35

No it doesn't. The rhyming sound is best avoided imo.

CorianderLord · 11/09/2020 08:37

Lots of Ds a-d-n-d-n-c-n

Itsrainingnotmen · 11/09/2020 08:41

If he used Ade as a nn saying his full name would be difficult...
Ade Duncan is awful..

ApolloandDaphne · 11/09/2020 08:41

My surname used to be Duncan and my first name is structured like Aidan with an 'en' sound at the end. I always thought it seemed a bit clunky and I much prefer my married surname with my first name.

ellenpartridge · 11/09/2020 08:45

Agree it's slightly clunky but not bad.

ElizabethMainwaring · 11/09/2020 08:50

Duncan is a lovely surname.
You can do much better with it.
I agree that Aiden Duncan is very clunky.

pumpkinpie01 · 11/09/2020 09:04

Nope I don't think that works

PeachForTheStars · 11/09/2020 09:06

I agree it is a bit clunky although Aiden is a nice name. Names like James Duncan, Andrew Duncan, George Duncan flow much better although obviously you might not like those type of names.

ElizabethMainwaring · 11/09/2020 09:09

It's basically ay-un-un-un
Hope that makes sense!

Topseyt · 11/09/2020 09:10

I think it is nice and flows well.

ChanceChanceChance · 11/09/2020 09:11

I think the problem is it is dun-dun in the middle, so no I wouldnt pick that combo.

It's quite hard to say imo.

Lilice · 11/09/2020 10:11

Thanks everyone for your opinion, it does help. Im still in two minds reading all this, I dont like having doubts though and would rather find a name I feel 100 % sure about.
@PeachForTheStars I do like James, I thought about it but found it too plain but it's also classy and timeless.

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/09/2020 10:13

I think it’s fine

ElizabethMainwaring · 11/09/2020 10:20

I absolutely love the name James.
It is such a handsome name.

ChanceChanceChance · 11/09/2020 10:22

I also like James, you can be any type of James Smile it's so liberating

ChanceChanceChance · 11/09/2020 10:23

Ooops posted early... Liberating having a name people can't stereotype I think.

I have a generic name though so am probably biased!

SummerHouse · 11/09/2020 10:28

God I love James.

I knew a boy called Acer which would work.
