For a girl. Just curious. :)

There's also the actress Juno Temple.

I think it's a great name.

DramaAlpaca · 01/09/2020 22:48

I really like it.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:48

@Sakura7 She's a very cool actress, I remember watching her in Atonement and thinking she did a great job -- plus her name sounds like a very glitzy beverage so it's good connotations all round!

Love the name Juno! If we were having a girl we would be using this name/ will use it if we have a girl in future.

GalaxyCookieCrumble · 01/09/2020 22:48

Juno who?

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:49

@Toucanmumma Honestly I'd love to have a baby girl and call her Juno but I'd have no idea what to match it with for future kiddos! We already have 2 cats with the name of gods / goddesses so we're a little swamped for choice hahaha

I like it.

I only know of it as a female name.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:52

@HaveYouSeenMyFriendKimberley I think it's most common as a girl's name, definitely, I just put "for a girl" as that's usually the first question people ask hahaha!

HaveYouSeenMyFriendKimberley · 01/09/2020 22:53

I don't know any girls called it though only s goddess! Grin

LouiseTrees · 01/09/2020 22:53

Juno - as in the film about the teen who gets pregnant? It’s an American film though so it depends where you are.

MondeoFan · 01/09/2020 22:55

I like the name, it's a yes from me

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:56

@LouiseTrees I mean I've not directly based it off of her but I'm also not unhappy with the association I guess! I just think it's a really cool name.

@HaveYouSeenMyFriendKimberley Hey, if you wanna raise a goddess you gotta name her like a goddess 😂😂

Doggodogington · 01/09/2020 22:59

Immediately reminds me of the film Juno. Pregnant teenager.

Diorissimo1985 · 01/09/2020 23:00

I know one baby Juno. I find it a bit hipster and try-hard I’m afraid!

Newchapter2020 · 01/09/2020 23:01

I've just finished watching the film (Juno) and was thinking to myself if I liked it as a potential name. I quite like it

change2birds · 01/09/2020 23:01

@Doggodogington I guess I'm not one to believe in bad juju- plus, even if Juno (the character) did get pregnant she was still pretty resilient?

Love Juno Rosie AND Cara! Lovely choices

Junobug · 01/09/2020 23:05

I love Juno. Unfortunately I called my dog it before having children. I seriously considered having a dog and daughter called juno but thought it might be a bit much.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 23:05

@Newchapter2020 Jinx! I actually watched it in the last week or so, haven't seen it since I was a pre-teen hahaha! Forever adoring Paulie :)

@Flymetothestars Thank you so much! It seems we have similar taste in baby girl names :) x

@Junobug I'd have definitely named a kid of mine Cleo, but that's taken up by the resident cat! Looks like we missed the boat on that one 😂

MaudebeGonne · 01/09/2020 23:10

I love it and I have a daughter called Juno. Juno was a Goddess of birth and marriage and I am a midwife so I thought it was apt. It's easy for other kids to spell and say. No regrets!

ruby29 · 01/09/2020 23:11

Love this name. Was in my top 3 choices with DD3 and have always slightly regretted not using it. I think it’s really beautiful for child and adult .
Other 2 names we were choosing from were Eliza and Clara.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 23:12

@MaudebeGonne How symbolic! I am actually as we speak looking through the meanings of Goddess names haha- both as a new middle name for myself, and for my future babes. I just love names with deep roots!

OP posts:
change2birds · 01/09/2020 23:13

@ruby29 What do you think makes you regret it? Does your DD exhibit more traits of a "Juno", or do you just really love the name?

(It's funny how we can associate people with something like names even when they're tiny, isn't it!) xx
