We have just found out we are having a girl! Ds is Rupert so need a classic name to go with it for DD.
We liked the following
Nancy
Edith

Until we came a cross Mabel which feels lovely and like it fits more. What do you think of Mabel Grace?

My brother is a Rupert and I am a Belinda.
Not very common name these days but I’ve always liked it.

Tavannach · 24/08/2020 18:32

I don't think Mabel goes with Rupert at all. Definitely prefer Nancy.
How anout Isabel or Isabella, depending on the surname?

Lay the table Mable, pass the jam Jim... loved that book!

Somethingvague · 24/08/2020 19:41

Jemima immediately popped to mind. However, I think Mabel is lovely (although growing in popularity at the moment!)

Shutupyoutart · 24/08/2020 19:44

I have a Rupert! His sisters are Minnie and Josie (Mina and Josana but literally never called that).

I also love the name Tabitha/Tabby.

mildlymiffed · 24/08/2020 19:52

I too popped on just to say Jemima! It's the natural companion to Rupert!

TalbotAMan · 24/08/2020 19:53

Showing my age here but . . .

Rupert and Camilla were the classic names for upper-class yuppies in the 80s.

Boomdog101 · 24/08/2020 21:50

Rupert and Matilda

PrincessLouis · 24/08/2020 22:24

I know a Rupert with a sister Frances (Frannie) which I think is lovely - classic but uncommon

Whatsyourflava · 24/08/2020 23:34

Has any of this helped @Pearsapiece
