Absolutely gorgeous, love it Smile

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 10/07/2020 08:43

Very beige imo. Much nicer names out there.

bridgetreilly · 10/07/2020 10:37

I don't love it, sorry. I do like Joan.

Onestepup · 10/07/2020 10:42

Plain, sorry.

emilybrontescorsett · 10/07/2020 18:34

I love Jane.
All the Janes I've ever known have been fabulous.

userabcname · 10/07/2020 18:43

Just about every woman I know in her 50s is called Jane. Boring and dated imo.

Mummytea24 · 10/07/2020 18:46

Beautiful name 💕💕

Mimilamore · 10/07/2020 18:48

Lovely name..... go for it!

Destroyedpeople · 10/07/2020 18:51

I really like it.
There are too many little girls called Lexie or Ava or Evie tbh.

Whatsyourflava · 10/07/2020 22:15

It's still commonly used as a middle name isn't it

namechangefornames · 10/07/2020 22:16

I’ve never met a Jane under the age of 40, so it will stand out. It’s a classic name that I actually quite like, although I prefer Joan or Janet. It’s my DD’s middle name though, after a relative.

Queenoftheashes · 10/07/2020 22:18

I love it - it’s my middle name. I think Austen, Eyre, Lady Jane Grey, Jane Lane...

Heh1991 · 13/07/2020 01:06

Don’t love I also immediately think “plain Jane”

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/07/2020 01:08

Really boring.

Jaguarana · 13/07/2020 01:13

I absolutely love it.

Fuebomba0 · 13/07/2020 22:26

Like it however it reminds me of that one come dine with me episode ;)

Flymetothestars · 13/07/2020 22:38

For the next generation they'll think of Jane as an aunties or grandma name
I remember a girl called Linda and one called Sue at school with me in the 1980s! Obviously the only ones in the school but the names seemed like "mum" names and we all thought our mums generation really old and uncool.

KeepHimJolene · 13/07/2020 22:44

dull as ditchwater, so easy to fade into the background and be forgotten

mogtheexcellent · 13/07/2020 22:48

Love it. Was on my list but DH didnt like it Sad

Therea a cool song called Sweet Jane by Velvet Underground.

cece · 13/07/2020 22:52

I'd have used it if I could....

I think it's great.

Alongcameacat · 14/07/2020 22:45

I really like Jane, its timeless. I think it is a classic name but if I'm honest if I heard it, I'd associate a young Jane as being from a wealthy family.

I only know two Janes. One is a grandmother and one is about six.

It is far far far prettier than Jean which is simply awful.

Bingowin · 14/07/2020 23:22

I agree that's it's underused. Lovely name.

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 14/07/2020 23:25

It's in the Linda/Barbara/Jacqui category/era to me, quite dated and not due a comeback just yet.

Areallthenamestaken · 14/07/2020 23:35

It makes me think of Sweet Jane by Velvet Underground - I like it!

Floralnomad · 14/07/2020 23:38

Really dull and boring and Joan and Jean are equally as bad .
