For upcoming DS. We will most likely shorten to Ted, Frank and Nick respectively. Middle name will be Peter. Which do people on here prefer? Thanks Smile

Edward is my fave and Francis is OK, but not Nicholas.
I think Nicholas is very dated at the moment as most Nicks are in the 40's plus.
I'm all for choosing names that aren't rampantly popular but from the perspective of a child, noone wants a 'dad' name or a 'mum' name.

I like Edward best but there aren't enough Francis's and Nicholas's in the world at the moment - I'd go with Nicholas.

My 11 year old grandson is Edward. He insists on Ed because it is short to write. He is very proud of having the only two letter name in his class!

I also have a 16 yo dgs called Francis always known as Frank.

Nicholas. I know quite a few young Edwards. I love Peter.

Love Peter
I'd go with Edward
The Nicks I know said it's annoying they're name rhymes with a rude word
