I'm aware the name Emily has been popular for many years now.

How many Emilys do you know under the age of 5?

Glad Emily is still on your list it's such a classic

What other names are in the list

TenThousandSpoons · 14/06/2020 08:54

Zero.
I know one age 11 and one age 17.
Lovely name.

FatalSecrets · 14/06/2020 08:56

None.

My daughter is one and she was the only one in her primary and there’s one other at her secondary who is several years older.

Angel2702 · 14/06/2020 08:56

One in my family age 3.

Letthemysterybe · 14/06/2020 08:57

One. And a few aged 7. And then a few aged 40.

SpaceSharkTea · 14/06/2020 08:58

I know it's not a whole lot to go on but I notice it being more far popular in Yorkshire than Kent. (Teacher for reference)

Yorkshire - 7 or 8 in a the primary school
Kent - 1 in the primary school

But there are lots of called Emily my own age (late 20s). So I wonder if it's more popular in certain geographical pockets or just a name that is reducing in popularity?

happystory · 14/06/2020 08:59

Quite a few in their 20s, a 4yo and a 7yo

January35 · 14/06/2020 08:59

0 babies, 1 teenager and 1 adult

AliasGrape · 14/06/2020 09:01

None.

I’m an Early Years teacher and the last Emily I taught was around 4 years ago, so she’s around 8/9 now.

Crimblecrumble1990 · 14/06/2020 09:11

I think it was so popular 20-30 years ago that many of those Emily's are now the new mums so perhaps fewer babies being called it presently.

I know one baby Emily and many adult Emily's.

@Whatsyourflava Thankyou, not many as my and my DH can't agree on names. We were considering emmeline as an alternative to emily, however they sound so similar I think my dd would spend a lifetime correcting people. X
