I always thought I'd go with violet but I don't know if it's getting to popular now

Help!

I like Zara best.

Maisie is really sweet, but I don't think it passes the grown up test for me.

Violet is nice, but it is too popular and I don't like any of the nicknames/pet names.

Not keen on Hermione or Melody, a bit too fussy/girly.

Hermione and Violet are stunning choices. Zara is nice too. I'm less keen on Melody and Maisie.

I love Zara and Maisie. Not keen on Violet or Melody at all. Hermione is a nice enough name.

I love the name Hermione, hands down my favourite. Zara is quite nice too. I'm not a massive fan of Maisie but every Maisie I know is absolutely lovely so I have very positive associations with it!

Violet - love love love - favourite- never met one
Melody - it's ok . Dated and I'd say the modern equivalent is Elodie which is could get misheard for

Melody not keen on but I had a doll named it as a child so maybe that's why
Maisie I love but not sure what a adult would be like called Maisie, more a child's name

Hermione and Zara are my favourites.
I'm not keen on the others. I dislike Violet and Maisie. I have never known an actual person with the name Melody. Its ok. I think it will be shortened to Mel though.

I think Violet is the most beautiful.

We are calling DD Violet. It is popular but I have only ever “known of” one Violet in my area, so that doesn’t put me off.

Hermione - lovely. Yes it will be associated with HP but she was a pretty good character to be named after - strong, clever, independent.
Violet - lovely. Well known without being hugely popular
Melody - not keen at all. Elodie is much prettier.
Maisie - not keen. Too many of them.
Zara - it's ok. I think of the shop. Cara is nicer in my view.

I would go with Hermione or Violet.

Either Melody or Maisie would be refreshing and quirky, with Violet as middle name.

I like Violet. Hermione is obviously always going to get the HP connection, that is not going to go away any time soon. Not keen on the others.

Violet wasn't even in top 50 in last 5 years, how is that too popular? Its beautiful and by far IMO the nicest of your names x

I love them all except Maisie, as I feel it won’t ‘grow’ with them if that makes sense?

I have a Maisie and I love it. I'm the opposite to every one else as I had a granny Maisie (dads mum) so I thought it was an old name when she passed away just before she was born I had to have it.
