Thoughts on Phoebe? It’s most likely our girls name choice but want opinions as I’m not 100% sold

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Beautiful. Cute for a child; elegant for a woman.

Phoebe, Rachel, Monica. I like all these names. :p

My dd is Phoebe. She is a lovely happy little thing. I'm having another girl and I wish I could use it again. There's no name I like better! There's not lots of them either

namequandry2020 · 18/06/2020 20:42

When she was a baby we called her Fifi 🥰🥰

Charlottejbt · 18/06/2020 20:56

I like it.

Subordinateclause · 18/06/2020 21:08

I like it but worry it's becoming too popular. I don't know any primary aged Phoebes but several babies.

Spied · 18/06/2020 21:16

I don't like it.
I don't like the look of it written down and the sound is jarring.

AHF1975 · 18/06/2020 21:21

I've had a cat and got a close relative with this name. Love it. The human Phoebe is also fascinated by the Greek connection (it means 'light' in Ancient Greek)

FlamingoAndJohn · 18/06/2020 21:34

I love it. It’s a name I would have pushed for. It’s a family name for DH. and that family member would be 120 if she were still alive

BabyDust13 · 18/06/2020 22:00

I love it

letsgomaths · 18/06/2020 22:14

I love the name; when I hear it I remember the lovely children's book from the 1970s of Phoebe and the Hot Water Bottles, which told the story of Phoebe Beeberbee and her loving but very busy and absent-minded chemist father.

SallyWD · 18/06/2020 22:25

I love it.

Graymare · 18/06/2020 22:32

Beautiful, classic, strong and feminine.

redribbons99 · 18/06/2020 23:08

I don't like it my school friend had a friend called that and pronounced it phobia

schafernaker · 19/06/2020 01:44

Thanks, we are going to go for it 🙃 if baby is a girl

Love it. It was very nearly dd's name.
