I like Ingrid, Greta etc...

I got some wonderful suggestions when I posted previously, and I added Ingrid and Greta to my list. I seem to like slightly harsh Germanic or Scandinavian sounds. Erica, Inga, Gerta - things like this I think are lovely. I’m looking for names along these lines, please, just in case there’s something wonderful I’ve not thought of. Britt has been vetoed by DP.

@Orphlids I also have quite a few names of different origins, some English some anglicized Germanic which I think have the same upright, heritage feel (some would say stern/fusty 😂) Rowena, Tilda, Theia, Trudie.

@Orphlids oh and I’ve always liked Edwina too although I’d think there’d be perhaps too much ‘wiener’ based teasing potential.

Dagmar

Ingrid, Astrid and Greta were on my shortlist but got vetoed.
Helena isn't as harsh but has a similar vibe.
I also like Natalie and Natasha, I get they're Russian and not Scandi but they have a similar sound to my ear

Mette

Careful OP, some of these suggestions will be really unfashionable old lady names in Germany and Scandinavia so if your child will spend time there that's worth considering.

Nothing to add but I really like Greta.

I have an Annika. Also on my list we're Katia, Erica and Clara.
