I got some wonderful suggestions when I posted previously, and I added Ingrid and Greta to my list. I seem to like slightly harsh Germanic or Scandinavian sounds. Erica, Inga, Gerta - things like this I think are lovely. I’m looking for names along these lines, please, just in case there’s something wonderful I’ve not thought of. Britt has been vetoed by DP.

Love Inge.
I had a cousin called Inge-Lise, pronounced Ingalisa.
I also like Stella, Lois, Gillis and Silke.

I've been watching 'Hilda' on Netflix (a joy!) and it's set in Scandinavia. Hilda and Frida are among the characters' names.

I once walked down a street named Gertrudie in eastern Europe. I thought Gertrudie was a lovely name.

@Orphlids I’m totally with you on those kinds of names, have quite a few on my list. I absolutely love Eerika but don’t think I’ll ever get to use it, maybe I’ll get Erika at a push. I also have Ingrid and Greta on my list, Astrid was vetoed. Also like Gretel and Gretchen. Inge and Ebba lovely too, as well as the softer sounding Anneli (but it’s too lilting and pretty for me to actually use- I like ‘ugly’ names 😂) .
